I have the experience of working in different settings including hospitals, communities, and people’s homes. I have supported service users with day-to-day activities including supporting with hospital appointments meal preparations, managing medications. I have also worked with service users with complex needs and who use specialized equipment and various aiding equipment like tracheostomies or ventilators. I have liaised with other health care professionals to provide an efficient service for service users. I have a patient, calm and empathetic nature and consider myself to be a good communicator and an attentive listener. I enjoy spending time with people. My aim is to promote the independence of clients and enable them to reach their full potential in life. I am a team player who sees the value in working well with others and am highly skilled at both listening to others and contributing to a group setting. I am able to effectively interact with clients in a compassionate and understanding way, gain a knowledge of their needs and collaborate with them to manage their needs. I cope well under pressure, and I have the ability to maintain composure when faced with difficult situations. I have a passion for caring for people and working with service users to improve their quality of life and create possibilities for them.
