I worked in the hospital for five years as healthcare assistant and two years as domiciliary carer. For the past three years I have been working as living carer staying with a patient in his own house, assisting with personal care,Bathing or shower dressing preparing breakfast lunch and dinner of the clients choice, helped empty and change leg bag catheters, taking patient out to restaurant, GP or Hospital appointments, barbershops and visiting his friends and family.
Administering medication and making sure my clients are safe and happy. Keeping the house clean and tidy assisted client with laundry and gardening.
I have a very caring, friendly, and helpful personality which allows me to provide good communication, companionship and support to my clients in addition to their care needs. My motivation for caring stems from a desire to help others lead as independent life as possible, while still providing the necessary care and assistance.
I like to keep fit and workout, cleaning, walking and reading. I enjoy listening to music and follow premier League football.
I had three children, we have enjoyed family holidays abroad and in the UK.
The live in care worker role appeals to me because I am able to get to know the clients needs and have the opportunity to make a difference and develop appropriate positive professional relationships and to make a difference to someone's life.
I was offered a position in care as a community worker but felt that the clients being looked after were time managed within a client schedule for each day and this appeared to have a real impact on quality and standards. I want the opportunity to understand, gain knowledge and experience to be the best I can whilst in the role as a live in carer.
I am built on values, equality, trust, dignity and respect. I serve these values by providing friendly, responsive and reliable care to people of all ages in their own homes.
My friends would say I'm friendly, approachable, willing to listen and have a good sense of humour.
I don't have any dietary requirements.
I have no problem working with clients who drink.
I’m a non smoker and would like to work in a smoke free environment.
I don’t mind Clients having pets as their choice
My work Availability is four weeks on and one week off, but I can adapt on any work pattern.
If you are in need of a reliable and experienced carer, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me. I am able to drive manual and automatic and have my own car, allowing me to easily provide assistance wherever you may be. Thank you for reading my biography and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
