Having recently completed my NVQ 2 in health and social care, I am more aware of the core skills, legislation and requirements the health industry expect of me whilst provided care. I hold a Level 2 medication administration certificate, and work well as a team member or alone as 1-2-1. Being a gentle giant, I have a wealth of experience caring for clients living with Dementia, Learning disabilities, epilepsy, stroke, Diabetes, stoma and catheter care, using moving and handling aids and interventions and other medical conditions. Patience is the key and I am calm and collective even when an unexpected situation arises. I endeavour to encourage and support clients to maintain their level of independence within their home by provide the care they need.
