I am a single mother of three children aged 26, 23and 18 years old that I have raised independently. I have passion in caring , providing support and safeguarding anyone who suffers social and family exclusion. I was a victim of domestic abuse but through support from professionals I managed to leave the toxic environment. l have also cared for my mother when she suffered ill health and made her feel comfortable as best as I could and met her needs fully. I am a kind , caring and compassionate person who strives in making positive changes in people's lives. I am very patient and understanding. I enjoy listening to people's stories and how they would like to be supported to achieve their personal goals. in doing so I use Person Centered Approach which allows the individual to be in charge of their life and support them at their pace as they are the expert of their lives. l have worked with vulnerable adults in different care settings such as Nursing Homes where I supported different clients with multiple needs such as Dementia, Parkinsons. I have also worked in assessments units supporting people with mobility difficulties using different aid equipment. I have worked in supported living setting assisting my clients with daily living skills such as bathing, brushing teeth, cooking , cleaning, financial budgeting, accessing the community activities, washing, ironing and many more. I am open and honest with the people I work with and prefer people to treat me with the respect I give them. I enjoy to be part of family, group as thus enhances a sense of belonging in any human being. Therefore, I know this is the right place for me to work and learn more about others and support them to live a fulfilled lifestyle without being judgemental or oppressive.
