To further my knowledge and passion for working with people I took a health and social care course, this helped me to broaden my understanding of working with people and also how to deal with children and adults with disabilities. I was able to complete the course and gain my BTEC health and social care certification and then went on to complete the care certificate program. I have worked with people diagnosed with dementia, chronic conditions both in hospital and in client’s own homes. I have worked in domiciliary so I’m competent in personal care, moving and handling, medication and household tasks. I have experience in personal care, I can assist with hygiene, toileting, assisting in feeding, cooking, cleaning and any tasks which require support. I am more than willing and capable of providing care services. My hobbies consists of walking, socialising with friends, watching movies and reading. Asha is a gem; an absolute God-send. She has a gentle soul and temperament, and I couldn't have asked for a better carer. I have mental aswell as physical disabilities so my moods and physical abilities are up and down, but she manages me with sensitivity, kindness and compassion. I'm also quite fussy about how I want certain things to be done, but she is patient with me and doesn't make me feel awkward about anything.She is diligent, and hardworking too. You won't regret having her as a carer.
