Supporting clients and individuals, assisting with their day to day living and activities to live a fufiled independent lives in the comfort of their own home. I really enjoy my job, because it is rewarding and I get to meet and speak to incredible different people in the community. I had previously worked as a live in carer, And my placement lasted just over a year, as a Personal Assistant. I worked with an elderly, It was a great pleasure caring for my client, who had early and late stage of Dementia, stroke and end of life care. . Some of my duties involved Moving and Handling, e.g. slides sheet, stand aid, slings, catheter care, personal care, home care service, support service with physical and Learning Disabilities, and older people. I also acquired experiences working in a care home, community care service. That involved home visits to clients, prepared meal, medication prompting, assisting with dress / undress, bath / shower, administered or prompted to take medication, domestic duties, assist with mobility and feeding However I am looking for a more stable placement on a one to one Care. I am naturally a caring nature person, who puts venerable individuals at the heart of everything I do. I am compassionate, empathetic, caring, helpful, reliable, responsible and respectful. Especially due to my background. I like to treat each individual with respect, dignity, kindness. I am extremely patience person, good communication skills and I am competent and professional. I am passionate about helping others in living their best possible lives in the comfort of there own home. I enjoy working with adults, young people of all ages, providing the care, support, dignity meeting their individual Person Centre in there own home. And giving them their independence. My specialist skills assisting and giving care to service clients who needs help and assistants with having independent in their own home, offering companionship, getting up/going to bed at night, including personal care, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing, showering, cooking, other duties that may require. And to give respite to their family. I help service clients with mobility and other physical disabilities, incontinence and the care of personal aids equipment, assisting with Urinary Sheaths, and Stoma/Colostomy Bag, Emptying Commodes, catheter, stand aid, sliding sheets, hoist, zema frame, Sara stedy stand aid, wheel chair, recliner chair. Household duties making/changing beds including tidying rooms, assisting service users in maintaining a well - balanced diet, maintain accurate record and medication logs, encourage service clients to remain as independent as possible in their own home. Assistant with feeding I have worked with vulnerable adults with Dementia, Physical Disabilities, temporarily sick needing bed nursing and/or help with feeding, service user/ clients with Mental Health assisting users/clients through talking to them, taking them out, sharing within activities such as reading, writing, hobbies, and recreations, treating them as an individual’s using Person Cantered. As COSCA Counselling gave me great understanding and knowledge has improved my experiences. Health and Social Care Counselling I am polite, calm, respectful to people, focus on the positive in my daily life. I understand people individuality and respect their feelings and opinions. I worked with adult, young people and children for a long time because I am naturally caring and I enjoy it because it brings me great fulfilment to see other people happy. I have been influenced and inspired in Social Care line of work, and enjoy working and volunteering with people of all ages and backgrounds. I have worked in caring for adults with all types of challenges and because of all my experiences I don't see the disabilities. I work with their abilities. I was a foster carer for several years, and I volunteer with homeless women and substance and alcohol abuse. Excellent

Sylvia is kind, caring and conscientious and cared for my mum who recently passed away with love, compassion and empathy. She is a professional with excellent knowledge in dementia care which she applied when caring for mum. I thank Sylvia for taking such wonderful care of my mum and her wee dog and helping make mum feel happy and safe and secure in her last months. I highly recommend Sylvia to anyone looking for a reliable carer with a professional attitude.
