I have had the chance of supporting individuals who have encount...More I am a kind, hardworking and patient individual with a wealth of experience working directly with people of all ages within the Health and Social Care Spectrum. I have more than 10 year's experience as a "Complex Carer". I have had the chance of supporting individuals who have encountered life changing illnesses, incidents that have left them requiring care and support to manage day to day. I have experience in specialist areas of care such as supporting individuals with Tracheostomy Care , Motor Neurone disease, Brain injuries and other complex care needs. I am a very patient person and am always happy to work at my clients pace, following their lead. I have worked in end of life care in the community helping to make clients comfortable at home and attending to calls as and when needed . I work well with other palliative care team members, such as doctors, and also with supporting family members with respite care. Before becoming a carer, I worked as a residential Social Worker for 11 years, I enjoyed the experience of working with children and young People. This gave me a good grounding of being able to work in a "holistic manner" as I had to support the person at the centre offer care and the families .
