My name is Ewa. I'm 42 years old and I'm from Poland. I'm currently looking for a long-term live-in care job in the UK. I'm based in Kent but I'm willing to travel and work anywhere in the UK.
I'm a carer with eight years experience in taking care of the Elderly in their own homes.
I have experience with people suffering from stroke, vascular dementia, Alzheimer, heart failure, incontinence, depression, anxiety and diabetes. I'm also familiar with palliative care.
I'm experienced with using hoists (manual and ceiling), stand aid, wheelchair (manual and electric), slings, catheter, commode, shower chair, nebuliser and oxygen machine. I'm also familiar with healthy cooking and all household chores. I like to keep places where I live tidy and cosy. I have two years experience in driving in the UK (automatic car)
I would love to work as a live-in carer again as I do love this job. Caregiving comes naturally to me. It gives me great satisfaction to help people. I'm very emphatic. I can put myself in the place of who I'm caring for. I think it's very important because it lets me treat my clients with respect and help them to live with dignity in their own houses. Relationships with people are very important to me. That's why I have decided to become private caregiver. It lets me work for the same client for a long time which - I believe - is important to find out client's habits, daily routine, interests e.g. and let her/him to feel safe and comfortable. It also helps me to maintain strong relationship with the clients and their families which is very important to me.
I'm motivated and keen to learn new things. People describe me as a very warm, easy going, positive and honest person with big sense of humour. I think of myself as of reliable and responsible person who can easily adapt to the environment and people around. I don't smoke and I don't like drinking alcohol. I'm a bookworm. I love spending my free time reading books. I also love nature in all it's aspects. I'm fond of animals and I wouldn't mind looking after pets.
As a dedicated caregiver and deeply committed to treating my clients with dignity and respect I'm able to provide very good standards of care and make them feel safe, relaxed, comfortable and well cared for. It can be challenging at times but I truly enjoy working with elderly people. That's why I think I'm good candidate to take care of yours lovely ones.
Very good references from British families available on request
Kindly consider, please that my daily rate of pay depends on client's condition, whether night assistance is necessary or not, if I'm expected to provide care for one or for two people at the same time etc. I'm always happy to negotiate
If you require any more information I would be happy to provide it.
