At an early age I was cooking, cleaning and supporting my mother with the day to day care needs of my younger siblings. I officially qualified in care and support work in 2012 when I worked with children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours in residential care. This involved personal care, feeding, education and support. I continued to work in the childcare industry in more managerial roles and returned to residential care in 2020. I have been managing a care home for young people aged 16-25 with autism. Care is in my nature, I am emotionally intelligent, calm and patient. I am respectful to those I support and advocate for them at all times. Although I have predominantly worked with children and young people I feel the general skills, values and attitudes required for care are the same, and I'm confident anything I don't know about caring for the elderly can be learnt fairly quickly as I am a fast learner. I can adapt my care style to your needs.

We employed Evan as part of our 'team' to provide overnight care for our mum who has dementia. Evan's caring nature, quiet calm and ever-present smile was the perfect fit for our needs and mum's condition. We were reassured by Evan's questions and preparations before her first stay as it displayed a thoroughness and tenacity to ensure she was prepared and able to meet mum's needs. During her stays, Evan provided us with excellent updates and feedback, providing much needed peace of mind.
