I had my first job as a Domiciliary care assistant, where I worked with individuals within their own homes. I assisted in moving and handling, medications , house hold tasks and chores , helping with mobility around their homes and also helping individuals access the community safely .
I then proceeded in working in a Residential home where my role also as similar as the previous, helping residents feel loved and comfortable in the care home. I assisted in medications , food preparations, personal care . I worked with residents who had various health challenges like Autism , learning disabilities, dementia , stroke . It was a rewarding experience which prepared me for my next job.
I also worked as a care and support worker at Noble care home in Birmingham. This home had 8 service users with various health conditions, Learning difficulties and challenging behaviours . I supported them in medication and personal care. I also supported them with making right decisions and making sure they feel safe at all times .
I am currently a support worker in Oldbury. I work with service users with challenging behaviour, Autism , Learn disability, learning difficulties, ptsd , attachment disorders, diabetics, Dementia, high blood pressure and mental health issues.
