I have a passion for caring for others and a desire to see people around me doing well and comfortable. I studied fine art as a bachelors degree at university and I enjoy incorporating my creative skills with the skills I developed over time working as a career and support worker. It helps me to bond with clients I care for and allows them to also enjoy being creative and getting to know me as not just their care provider but also a friend. I enjoy my work because it doesn't feel like work to me, especially when it is a enjoyable environment to be a part of. I have worked with many different patients over the years. With every new patient I care for, I develop new skills to improve my level of care. I have worked with those who require palliative care, moving and handling manually, or just assistance with their mobility through a walking frame. I have gain a-lot of skills over the years. From emptying catheters and changing leg bags, to effective and safe moving and handling skills of every kind. Training in communicating effectively with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's, depression, and bi-polar disorder. The experiences I have gained has helped me improve all levels of care I provide to each client I have worked with. I hope to be given the opportunity to further improve my skills and satisfy those who are in need of my assistance.

    Excellent

    Debora is an excellent professional carer who has a lovely cheerful personality. She spent 3 weeks with my mum who has advanced dementia and she was so kind and caring and quickly figured what my mum's stress triggers were and how to deflect her from becoming distressed. I was highly impressed by Debora's knowledge, care and empathy. She took excellent care of my mum and her dog and I thoroughly recommend her.
