I work hard to get to know my clients, so I can help them enjoy their interests and hobbies. I take charge of my clients 100% of their safety and comfortability. I am kind, hardworking and a good communicator. “I am patient, a good listener and enjoy working closely with others - especially older people I have more than 19 years experience as a carer. I enjoy listening to older people, I am a very patient person and am always happy to work at my clients pace, whilst following their lead. I am friendly, chatty and hard working.” I have worked as a carer for years now and work very efficiently. I enjoy my job and like talking with clients as I perform my duties. EXPERIENCE I have worked with people with dementia, chronic conditions and I have provided end of life care. Recently, I provided care for brain injury including night care support. I worked with learning disability clients and I saw the beauty and genuineness in them. I also have experience of anxiety and depression care, I have hands on care on peg feeding , I have hands on care on catherter care . I have worked in end of life care for many years, helping to make clients comfortable at home as a live in carer. I work well with other palliative care team members, such as doctors, and also with supporting family members with respite care.” I became a carer while looking after my partners mum. When she died, I decided to carry on, working as a live-in carer to support people with end of life needs.” I am experienced in personal grooming and I enjoy helping clients look their best. I assist with hygiene, toileting, eating, cooking, cleaning and any administrative tasks which need support. I have a full clean driving license and enjoy taking clients out to meet friends.” Before becoming a carer, I worked as a special needs assistant for 11 years in a mainstream school I enjoyed every bit of the experience of working with children in the main stream school. I later decided to be more supportive in life to people I went ahead to study Social work of which I have my Masters degree in social work. I love reading novels. I am part of my local church and help to run the children's activities. Few year back , my son brought home a German shepherd puppy which he left in my care when he was moving out called Sheeba. I enjoyed baking and cooking home made food for Sheeba. I am a good cook! It’s a big part of my life and I love trying out new recipes.
