TQ2 7AA 302376 I started working in care at 18, I worked in domiciliary care, and supported a wide variety of people with range of conditions such as learning disabilities, others with mild dementia and others that required support due to mobility issues. From 2020 onwards I started working in nursing and residential care homes, which led me to hone my skills in moving and handling people with reduced mobility and preventing pressure ulcers. This was a very rewarding part of my journey as a care assistant as it required much more attention to the clients needs and it was more involved. Since 2021 until currently, I have worked for a care agency, where I have had the opportunity to work in assisted living facilities for people living with learning disability, epilepsy and various other neurodiversity’s. I am currently a Medical Student at the University of Plymouth and have availability on the Fridays and Saturdays and in my free time I enjoy practicing Jiu jitsu.

TQ9 7ES 141893 Hello, I’m Monika. I’m 36 and originally from the south of Poland, now living in Totnes. I moved to the UK in my early twenties and over the years I’ve worked in many people-focused roles, including retail, customer service, hospitality, recruitment, and care. These experiences have helped me understand people well and support them with patience, kindness, and genuine interest. Caring for others comes very naturally to me. I love connecting with clients, offering companionship, and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and valued in their own homes. I’m also working towards opening my own sound therapy practice, as supporting others in their emotional wellbeing is something I feel deeply passionate about. My background in Psychology and ongoing training reflect this commitment. I am reliable, organised, punctual, and calm under pressure. Through Curam and private work, I have supported elderly and disabled clients, assisted with daily routines, personal care, and helped with light household tasks, meal preparation, and pet care. I always respect each person’s privacy, personal space, and individual preferences. I bring warmth, patience, and a grounded presence to my work, and I take pride in offering care that feels both professional and genuinely human. I look forward to supporting clients who value empathy, respect, and a caring companion in their daily life.

EX4 2BL 303617 Growing up i had the passion to care for the sick and people with special needs. This made me choose my career path in Nursing. I completed a Nursing degree in 2015 in Ghana. I care for people with disability, dementia, epilepsy and the general population. I developed a lot of interest in Nursing and caring because I realised that was what my heart desired. I looked after people in their homes especially the elderly as part time job. I realised that bringing smile on the faces of my clients gave me a sense of fulfilment which made me felt like I contribute significantly in my own way to humanity. I worked 6years with the Ghana health service and other non governmental organisations like Anessvad, Marie stopes, World health organisation as a volunteer providing HIV counselling and testing, searching cases of neglected tropical diseases and providing Family planning services. This exposure has made me acquire enough knowledge as a nurse and a carer in the past years. I have worked as a carer for 2years now in the UK working in private homes and care homes. I am Proactive and reliable multitasker with excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise patients need and coordinate daily basic care needs. I am Highly motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for process improvement efforts. I am a family man when not working. I love kids. I use my leisure time for travelling, learning new skills, cooking and playing football. I am very jovial and easy going.

I'm based in Devon. Most of my life has involved taking care of my family, first of all, my children, then later, my elderly parents, and recently my grandson. I decided to become a professional carer in 2021. I'm given the feedback that I am good at taking care of people and have a kind, professional and patient nature. I love the naturalness of the work and the daily routine. It makes me happy to help others to be happy. I'm hard working and I have extensive experience in a variety of settings. Working in my client’s own home and environment is my favourite setting to be in. I enjoy helping keep a home tidy and organised, also attending to any admin matters that are needed such as contacting medical services. I'm a nature lover at heart and especially enjoy working with clients who appreciate nature. My greatest amount of experience is with dementia and I feel very comfortable in that realm. I am experienced in end-of-life care. By the way, my background is in nutrition. While I am passionate about healthy eating I absolutely respect the wishes of my clients when it comes to dietary choices.

EX5 2RQ 273085 I have worked with the NHS for nearly 16 years and am more than qualified to look after individuals in the community. I have worked with the district nursing team, occupational and therapy teams, and the palliative team in the community to ensure that they had continuous support within the community. As a result, I acquired many clinical skills in the process. I also worked on the mental health side and supported individuals with mental health problems in the hospital and in the community, too. In my spare time, I like to listen to classical music, cook, clean, and listen to podcasts about business and politics. I have travelled a little bit and enjoy geography, architecture, and interior design. I have studied extensively and have vast amounts of knowledge on health and social care, nursing, and psychology. This has helped mould me into a good listener. I'm always happy to help my clients in any way that I can.
