I have also worked with people with cerebral palsy and PEG feeding. In August 2022 l had a privilege of caring for a young girl (19years) while her family took off some time on holiday. I had to hoist her into bed and wheel chair, she was PEG feeding and l had to manage that using an infusion machine, I was responsible for all her bathes and hygiene care to ensure she was comfortable. I had to do all cooking & cleaning. Before becoming a carer, l trained in early years and used to work with young children. This experience boosted my caring ability and it made it easier for me to care for people of all ages. I love reading, cooking and baking. I enjoy working directly with people, especially one to one basis as a live in carer where i have the time to build a good relationship and offer full support to help make a difference in someone's life to continue remaining to stay at their own home happily and comfortable. I find it beneficial for families knowing that their loved ones are being very well cared for at their own home, and its the reason why I like to work privately as a live-in carer. I don't only see the support I give to clients as only helping people but the relationship we both build as I work, through good communication, are very important because I am a very good communicator and approachable.
