NE35 9AN 13954 I bring a formidable wealth of experience to the health and social care field, with a deep-seated specialisation in compassionately supporting clients navigating dementia at all levels of progression, as well as those managing other challenging conditions. My professional journey has encompassed pivotal roles within the NHS sector and various care homes. Crucially, as a dedicated home care manager, I played an instrumental role in empowering countless individuals to continue living autonomously and vibrantly within the comfort of their own homes, often expertly facilitating alternatives to residential care. My profound passion for supporting individuals affected by dementia is unequivocally evidenced by my Postgraduate Certificate in Dementia Studies and my enrolment in an MSc in Advanced Dementia Studies. The extensive depth of knowledge, refined practical skills, and invaluable insights acquired throughout my distinguished career, powerfully complemented by my BSc in Integrative Health and Social Care (May 2023) and MSc in Management (January 2024), make me exceptionally confident in my ability to provide the precise, empowering support necessary for you to achieve and robustly maintain independent living. Currently, studying part-time MSc in Advanced Dementia Studies focusing on the best approach in supporting those living with dementia and their families.

SR5 3LR 135948 I have over 7 years experience working in care homes. This is because I enjoy assisting elderly, young and vulnerable people in areas they are not capable of because of my kindness and selfless nature. I enjoy listening to them and making them happy. I have had the opportunity to work with clients with celebral palsy, dementia and learning disabilities. My passion for care started in 2004- 2008, when I had to take care of my mum who was diagnosed of diabetes. This to an extent made me realise how passionate, caring, understanding and patient I could be with people. Since then I have found myself loving the health care sector.

I’m Joe. I have family in several parts of the country, so am able to work in nearly all locations in England. I have several years experience as a professional carer and additionally, I looked after both my parents for many years. I specialise in helping those with Dementia, cancer and rehabilitation at home upon hospital discharge. I usually work either: -sleeping or waking nights OR -live in on my own or job sharing with another carer, where we each work several weeks on/several off. On3 November 2035, I was awarded Curam Care ‘Carer of the Month’ in recognition of my work. If you would like to discuss your needs, please message me. There is no commitment on your part. About me : I am well liked and a caring person, working at a pace you are comfortable with. I’ll be sensitive to your needs, appreciating there will be times when you need hands on support and others where your privacy needs to be respected, my being in the background until needed. In terms of duties, I am adept at the full range a carer performs : admin, washing/dressing, medications, cooking and cleaning, companionship and shopping. I enjoy sport, tv, music, conversation and gardening, so if that is important to you, you can be sure that, together, we will have your garden looking grand. I also enjoy all forms of art. I try to make each day interesting for my client. For example, looking at the news/current affairs/favourite tv programmes and talking about what is happening in the world and locality. Using board games, puzzles and pictures, reading, music and photo albums to stimulate laughter and happy memories. Clients often like to reminisce about the places they have lived and there are lots of clips on you tube, showing towns as they were and are now, which can be of interest. And for those able to get out and about, I enjoy accompanying clients on journeys, be this shopping, cafes, community or gardening centres, or arts and craft events, etc. Additionally, I’m aware of the importance of light exercise, to retain flexibility and muscular strength in old age, be this short supported walks. a tour of the garden, or chair based movements. I am also very much aware of the need to keep loved ones informed at all times, of any development that may require their attention. And I take the responsibility very seriously of liaising with health professionals and documenting advice/decisions taken, particularly in regard to medications.. To this end, I usually keep a record sheet for each client, recording any important information/developments on a daily basis. Additionally, if a client were to experience a change in their condition (as often occurred with my own father), I am competent at reporting those to district nurses, gp and other health professionals, and in the necessary follow up. I am not trained in physiotherapy but have used chair and bed based stretching exercises to aid client wellbeing/recovery. Overall, I am a calm head on old shoulders and am used to responsibility and decision making, having held senior positions in my professional working life. I really enjoy being able to help people in their elder years. Feel free to contact me for a chat, without obligation. Regards, Joe.

NE4 5DA 103709 I'm an experienced professional carer from Portugal, I moved to the UK in 2005. I have a kind and caring nature. After caring for family member decided to pursue a career in care. I have since gained experience working in residential homes and domiciliary care. I am passionate about my role as a carer and enjoy working with clients on a one to one basis; I believe that enabling the elderly to remain independent and living in their own home is the best way of providing care. I have a genuine desire to help people and find it rewarding being able to build personal relationships, while improving the quality of the lives of my clients. I like having the opportunity to meet people from various backgrounds, whose lives are full of experiences to share. I also enjoy the fact that I can bring some joy into their lives, by simply being attentive to their needs. I am friendly and open-minded. I enjoy documentaries, music, dancing, socialising and eating out.

NE63 9RX 356669 Caring has always been a part of who I am, long before I ever stepped into a professional role. My journey began at home, looking after my late dad when he became unwell. Supporting him through his final months changed me in a way I will never forget. It taught me patience, strength, and the importance of showing kindness even in the hardest moments. Being there for him made me realise that caring isn’t just something I can do, it’s something I am meant to do. After he passed, I knew I wanted to take that experience and turn it into something positive. I started working as a Care Assistant, and from the very beginning I put my heart into every shift. I treated every person I supported the way I wished someone had my dad with dignity, respect, and genuine compassion. Over time, my dedication and willingness to learn helped me progress into the role of Field Supervisor/Senior Carer, where I now support both residents and colleagues with confidence and empathy. I’ve continued to build my skills through extensive training, including: Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care NAPPI PEG feeding Infection control Safe handling of medication in health and social care Positive Behaviour Support and Breakaway Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism Bladder management and catheter care Gastrostomy care and management Stoma care Palliative and end‑of‑life care These qualifications have strengthened my ability to support individuals with a wide range of needs, but it’s my personal experience that has shaped the way I care. I understand how vulnerable people can feel when they rely on others, and I never take that trust for granted. My hands-on experience includes personal care, PEG feeding, moving and handling, and supporting individuals with complex health needs. But beyond the clinical skills, I pride myself on being someone who listens, who notices the small things, and who brings comfort and reassurance to those who need it. What drives me every day is knowing that I can make a difference, sometimes in big ways, sometimes in small ones. Whether it is helping someone feel safe, encouraging independence, or simply being a friendly face, I approach every moment with empathy and respect. I look forward to continue growing in the care sector, bringing my passion, my lived experience, and my commitment to high‑quality care into a role where I can keep making a positive impact on people’s lives.

DH7 9NQ 199542 Caring is a profession that has engulfed my family. My mum, aunt, and elder sister are nurses/carer. Therefore, it would not be surprising that I have chosen to continue in this field. Also, my desire for embracing being a Health care Support worker is for the satisfaction derived from affecting people's life. The passion and emotional support for caring for patients is something I grew up with as a child shadowing my mum, aunt and elder sister. It's evident that I have something to give out; thus, I fancy this role as a HSW in this industry. I have built that strong relationship with patients and nurses from my years of working in hospitals, nursing homes etc as a healthcare assistant. It's my goal to put patients first in everything I do, giving them a sense of belonging. I value patients, their families, and staff. Respecting their aspirations and commitments in life is paramount. It's vital that I understand the patient's priorities, limits and abilities; with this, I care for them adequately. I don't compromise the quality of care; this has earned me respect from patients and their families. I compassionately care for patients; I feel their pains, and I don't fail to reassure them consistently. I treat all patients the same without discrimination. Living with my grandmother has also fortified my choice in healthcare. I have been working in hospitals and care homes for years and equipped myself with the necessary required skills to care for adult and young people. I have built my confidence in working under a tight schedule and under pressure. I know healthcare support worker is a stressful job where traumatic situations are frequent, but I have determined to put my dream in front of me. I am obliged to always deliver person-centred care to the patients. Patience is one of the key traits that I hold on to each day. I learnt to communicate clearly and concisely working with adult and young people. Timekeeping is another skill that I learnt working in healthcare. I have learnt to apportion tasks in smaller units and set realistic targets. My communication, timekeeping and organisational skills have also helped me function in a team productively. My tolerance and knowledge derived working in some of the most challenging wards like acute medical units, accident & emergency units and critical care units, put together with all the other skills learnt, make me a stronger support worker. It's beautiful when looking into a patient's eyes and sees the gateway to their soul when only a caring touch or word can make a connection. I like being blessed, and I count my blessings daily for all the patients I have helped gain better health or independence in life. High standard and quality care is what I'm about at all times.
