I’m also quite a good cook, I like to get my clients motivated to eat a well balanced diet where possible. I’m very proactive, putting the clients needs first at all times, maintaining my client is clean & comfortable, happy, & all there care needs are met. I’m also trained in changing stoma bags, & catheter bags, if a client has a district nurse that comes to visit them, I can change the stoma or catheter bag while the nurse is there, as they could witness this, & also sign me off. If the client enjoys going outside either in their wheelchair, or walking I could assist with helping, also I could arrange to take the client to a day centre, or to the park. I’m use to liaising with family members if there is any issues, & I can also arrange doctors appointments or hospital appointments, as I use to dealing with other healthcare professionals. I prefer to work with female clients or couples. I arrange & pay for my own travel, as I work in London a lot, I prefer London & other areas also. I don’t mind dogs or cats. As for working patterns, that’s up to the client, how long they want me to live in for, as I’m quite flexible.

Most of my clients I have cared for for 5-6 years in domiciliary care .I have been a Carer for 9 years. Some clients had physical issues some mental. Some just needed companionship. I have been told one of my strengths is good communication. I did a short English language course in Brighton in Sussex where I fell in love with England. I went back to Finland after my course back to grammar school. Then when little older I returned to England this time to London where I lived in Central London for decades. I have a grown up daughter now and I stay with her sometimes. I did domiciliary care for nearly 7 years in Surrey where we moved eventually but now I do mostly Live in care. I have cared for people with many different issues over the years some younger than myself some 100 and even over. Some just wanted companionship or running the household. I have experience of Parkinsons Disease End of life care Dementia Down Syndrome Autistic Spectrum Disorder to name a view I have been told by my Care Manager that I have good communication skills. I have no prejudice. I respect others and expect it from others. I returned to England to London this time where I lived and worked for decades. Then I moved to Surrey. My interests are anything to do with the house. I like to improve my surroundings. House and Garden is one of my favourite magazines. I go to auctions and antique fairs and art exhibitions, I love music and dancing from Classic FM to Pop. I have even tried Flamenco and Salsa.I am also interested in Current Affairs. I like cars and driving but also walking , I could not live without TV. I need to see what is happening in the world and I enjoy shows like Strictly Come Dancing and some of the soaps and documentaries. In my care work I truly care and I follow person centred care.
