My perspective on how I can enhance and expand care and wellbeing has broadened through my job as a healthcare assistant and a support worker. Empathy, adaptability under pressure, updating care plans, maintaining solid records, working well in teams, ability to communicate with individuals with little or no capacity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills etc.. I work in hospitals and nursing homes where duties and obligations are crucial to nursing for example, administering medication to patients pulse oximeter checks, intentional rounds, tracheotomy change, sanctioning, and blood glucose levels, just to mention a few. I provide personalized care and support to vulnerable individuals, assisting them to retain maximum independence. Worked closely with nurses to maintain optimum levels of communication.
