I believe I am a great carer because I perform my tasks from the heart. I have had other jobs before but with Care work, I feel I don’t have to try too hard. I do it naturally. Compassion and how I would like others to care for me when I can’t perform certain tasks underpins how I care for others. I have experience spanning over 10 years with breaks in between. I specialise in old-age related illnesses: dementia, cancer, stroke and lately, have ventured into palliative and End of life care. I have recently refreshed my Care certificate and am up to speed with current issues in the Care sector. I believe in being part of the solution in solving the care crisis: staff and training shortages. During Covid-19 lockdown, I played a part in training fellow carers in Prevention and Infection control. I am also up-to-date with compliancy and policy requirements. My experience has enabled me to carry out risk assessments, communicate and coordinate clients’ needs with the right professionals: district nurses, Occupational Therapists, pharmacies etc. I am generally a happy person who enjoys spreading this happiness to others who may be feeling low. I also love music and can dance. ** Only available for weekly live-in during school breaks** false

Every day as a carer is different, but my goal is always the same: to provide the best care possible with compassion and respect. A typical day with me as a carer starts with a friendly greeting and a chat about how the person I'm caring for is feeling and what they want to do that day. I believe in starting the day on a positive note, setting a calm and reassuring tone. Morning routines usually involve helping with personal hygiene, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. I always make sure these tasks are done with the utmost respect for the person’s dignity and comfort. For example, I had a client who loved having her hair styled a certain way, and seeing her smile after I helped her with it was always the highlight of my morning. Meal times are another important part of the day. I enjoy preparing meals that are not only nutritious but also catered to their preferences. I remember one client who loved a particular soup his mother used to make, and I took the time to learn the recipe. It’s those little things that make a difference. Throughout the day, I assist with medications, ensuring they’re taken correctly and on time. I also keep an eye on their overall health and well-being, noticing any changes and acting quickly if needed. What I love most is spending quality time with the people I care for. Whether it’s playing a favourite game, going for a walk, or simply having a conversation, these moments are special. I had a client who enjoyed gardening, and we would spend afternoons planting flowers and vegetables. It was not only therapeutic for him but also incredibly rewarding for me to see him so engaged and happy. In my career as a carer, I aim to provide not just care, but companionship and support. I’m passionate about making each day better for the people I look after, helping them live their lives to the fullest. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"4","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4"}

N16 0JT 76416 I have a back ground working with (CBOs ) Community Based Organisations. In my line of work I have always met people with different needs in terms of their well being. Listening to those people made me wanting to help them more and most especially reassuring and creating confidence in them. I have worked on a project called EPP, expert patient programme and this, introduced me to people who had a variety of health issues/ long term conditions. The programme was to help them manage their conditions .This makes me a superb carer for many patients have passed through my hands. The most fascinating client I have worked with for 5 years who just passed on last month, had a very rare condition called FOP-A rare genetic connective tissue disorder. This client encouraged me to self teach myself about that condition which made me an outstanding carer and I was able to bring more life to him. I have done courses on Mental health and I am in position to care for someone suffering from anxiety, depression etc... I have worked with patients who had stroke and early dementia and I managed them very well. I am passionate about my work caring, kind and always bring joy and happiness when I am on duty. I am experienced and confident, I am trustworthy and I have good communication skills. I always have a listening ear to my clients/patients. I provide emotional support to my clients/patients and I am a self motivated worker as well as dedicated to my job. I also have hands on experience from in-house training on how to use NIV: Non Intensive Ventilation but no certificate. For Live out, I would prefer to work Monday to Friday. For live in position, I am only available for Friday to Monday 2 weekends in a month as I am currently working with a client the other 2 weekends. Also, I am happy to cover areas in about 30 to 40miles . For the position of live in, I would have 2 hours break so Family or Client have to arrange cover for that break time. Bank holidays are charged at double time. Finally, I am a very good team player ,a problem solver and always eager to learn new skills . 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"1","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"1","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4, 5, 3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1, 4, 5"}

I have been in the care field for nearly 20 years. I have worked with a variety of individuals with differing needs. I have worked door-to-door in the community, offering personal support for tailored needs. I have worked as a 6 week enabler which I enjoyed very much. I have worked privately for respite short term live-in care for an individual whose wife had Parkinson's disease and advanced dementia. In the early part of my career as a carer I did waking/sleeping nights for a lovely lady for a year. Currently I work privately for two gentlemen who require support with their domestic cleaning. One is a hoarder and I supported and assisted him to declutter and organise his belongings. The other, i support him to keep on top of the cleaning, laundry and linen change on a weekly basis. I am a caring empathic individual who is a good active listener. I get great personal pleasure being able to support and assist individuals with their needs whilst encouraging independence and self actualisation. I am very sociable and can familiarise myself very quickly in a respectful way. I like to show initiative with the permission of an individual. I have two mottos: treat people how you would like to be treated yourself; leave the property how you found it, or better. I have a few personal hobbies. I love music and travelling; and like discussing current affairs. I am flexible and can adapt care where required. I am available for daily care; sleeping and waking night positions within a 5 mile radius of N19 (Islington, North London) I am happy to work alternate weekends with a carer buddy. I am trained in dementia care; administering medication; catheter care and support; moving and handling; first aide and able to action professionally in an emergency. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"1","field_care_type_first":"4, 5","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"1","field_care_type_second":"4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"1","field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"1","field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"1","field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"1","field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"1","field_care_type_seven":"4, 5"}

W9 2EN 31487 I'm a physiotherapist, graduated in Italy. I have obtained the statement of comparability with NARIC UK which confirms how my overseas qualifications compares to the UK system. I used to work in a private clinic with people with mobility problems, Dementia , Parkinson's disease and COPD over 10 years then with people after hip or knee replacements treating them in their houses after the operation as mobile physiotherapist. I have worked as a carer in the meantime trying to provide the best level of care possible to my patients by establishing relationships based on mutual trust and respect. Currently I'm working 3 days a week looking after an elderly man helping him at home with personal grooming, cooking ,shopping and companionship. I prefer a daytime job but I can also work night-time if necessary with no problems. I'm a trustworthy and caring person who empathises with elderly people, I like helping those who cannot help themselves. I'm clean and tidy. NW6 2ED 29351 I am originally from Uganda ( East Africa). I have lived in the UK for over 21 years. I was inspired to become a carer by my mother who is a registered nurse and my cousin who suffers from cerebral palsy. I have seen what an amazing job carers have done looking after my cousin over the years. Growing up as a young child I watched how my mother selflessly looked after the sick and put their needs before hers. I have looked after clients with dementia, alzheimers, cerebral palsy, cancer, spinal injuries, mental health and learning disabilities. My job as a Carer has taken me to different places around England and London. I love my job and the satisfaction I get when I see my clients thrive even in very difficult circumstances. I have also done 5 years of live-in home care in the UK. I am adaptable and can be quiet and discreet, or relaxed and friendly, whatever suits you best. I am tidy and organised, I can help with shopping and cooking, and I am experienced in running a household. I look forward to working with you to find out what sort of meals you enjoy. I am a good home cook, wanting to ensure healthy nutrition. I have worked as a Physio aid so can help with exercises & rehab. As well as any support with your personal cares, medication etc, I am experienced in looking after many health conditions. I am used to dealing with a multidisciplinary team. I can liaise with your GP, district nurse, pharmacist, physio etc. to manage & coordinate care. I will also update family members as required. I am very happy at home, so do not mind if a client is housebound. I am Covid vaccinated, and a non smoker. I drive but do not have a car. I would like to do long term live-in care. Depending on the client’s condition & needs, we would discuss ongoing flexibility with the work rota & time off.
