NG15 6UP 47651 I am self driven and kind carer. I have done the caring job for slightly over 20 years. I work without necessarily any supervision as am self motivated. My job has taken me to diverse and crucial areas of care. I love what I do and prompt people to gain self confidence depending on their capability. Otherwise doing all what they cannot be able to do for themselves. I adhere to confidentiality and practice safeguarding promptly. My strength is in making anyone I look after believe in my support. I have experience in dementia care, end of life care and rehabilitation care where necessary. Illness is a lonely place for the needy and quite challenging fir the families. That's where I come in. I hold good references, clean CRB and also Care Mandatory Certificate . If needed, I prefer to work 2/3 months on and take 2 weeks off where necessary. If not so, I abide with any other arrangement suitable to the family needs. I am here not only to care for you but to appreciate you for everything you have done and achieved in your life. We will work together and make sure you live a high quality life. I am here for you to care for you with love. This is a lovely job and I hope you choose me to assist you. I have been truly blessed to be able to assist many clients over the years, I was with one of my clients for 7 years and was very honoured she chose to spend the rest of her life with me by her side. I look forward to hearing from you. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

LE3 5HP 246442 I have done live in care for about 5 years on and off and 5 years domiciliary and dealing with vulnerable adults with challenging behaviour. I have done few trainings over the years but all certificates are kept by the company since they paid for it. I come from a background of looking after family members with old age needs. I have looked after vulnerable adults in their own homes where some have PEG feed and others whose needs require help with all day to day needs. I am good and responsible to work alone and deliver person centred care at high standard. However where working in a team is required, I understand what team work is and can work with others without issue. 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"4, 5","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"4, 5","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"4, 5","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"4, 5, 3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"4, 5, 3"}

I was born in Malawi (or Southern Rhodesia as it was back in the "60's) Africa and had a wonderful childhood growing up both in Malawi and then Rhodesia before moving to South Africa just after the Rhodesian war. I now live in Australia but often return to the UK for 6 months at a time. My parents were both British. I was blessed to have been able to care for my mum in her own home for the last 5 weeks of her life up in York. I am family orientated and have 7 grandchildren. I love the outdoors. Walking and especially long distance walks are my passion. I have a certificate 4 in Aged Care (Australia) and a Level 2 Award, high distinction in End-of-Life Care (25/10/2020)- Oplex Careers (England) and am on the enhanced DBS update service. I have done live-in care work in the UK on and off since 2014 and happy to work around the UK. I do prefer smaller towns and or rural but happy to do repsite placements in the bigger cities. I have looked after clients with dementia, cancer, Parkinson's and MS and have done catheter care, stoma care and peg feeding. I am proficient in the use of hoists, both standing hoists and full sling hoists. I love doing high end care and have looked after clients on palliative care. Personality wise I am quiet, helpful, non-judgemental, compassionate and respectful. I work with clients to achieve their goals and best outcomes alongside the family and allied health professionals if appropriate. I am also happy to work alongside another carer/share work. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

LE11 4EJ 262670 Hi! My name's Inga. I've been in the care field for quite some time and have experience working in different capacities. I've worked in domicilary care with elderly, in care homes, have been a live-in personal assistant for people with spinal injuries, have worked with people with learning disabilities, and also have cared for terminally ill, dying people. One of the most touching experiences in my carer's career was being able to support a man after his wife's death (for whom I also looked after), help him accept the inevitable and come to terms with our mortality in a way that was soft and gentle. The main duties, of course, are to help with personal care, household tasks and similar jobs related to the client's needs and wants. But very important part of the job is also to make a difference in clients' emotional lives - to bring more joy in their day, promote their autonomy, be a compassionate companion in their challenges. I have to say I am good at that too. I love being in nature, listening to music, and am interested and practising different holistic healing modalities. I'm able to support people in their interests even if it's not something I'm enthusiastic about. When I'm at work client's needs come first and foremost. For example, even though I'm vegetarian, I don't mind cooking meat for clients. I'm a driver and love taking people out for social occasions; am computer literate and able to do administrative tasks. Such qualities as patience, kindness, and calmness help me build good relationships with people. If this resonates, please get in touch. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":true,"field_care_type_first":"3","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":true,"field_care_type_second":"3","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":true,"field_care_type_third":"3","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"3","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"3","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"3","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"3"}

LE2 7AT 275854 As a dedicated carer with two years of professional experience, coupled with a lifelong commitment to assisting others, I bring a unique blend of compassion, expertise, and genuine care to my role. My journey as a carer began with the realization that providing support and assistance isn't just a job, it's a calling deeply rooted in empathy and understanding. My specialist skills include proficiency in personal care, medication management, and creating personalized care plans tailored to individual needs. Beyond my professional responsibilities, I find immense fulfilment in being a source of comfort and companionship for those I care for. Whether it's engaging in meaningful conversations, accompanying them on walks, or simply being present to listen, I strive to make a positive difference in their lives every day. Outside of work, I'm an avid reader, finding solace and inspiration in books that broaden my perspective and deepen my empathy. Additionally, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, especially my grandmother, whom I assist with daily tasks and provide companionship to back home. This personal connection fuels my passion for caregiving, reminding me of the profound impact simple acts of kindness can have on someone's well-being. In my free time, I also enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes, finding joy in preparing meals that bring people together and nourish both body and soul. Overall, my dedication to caregiving extends far beyond the confines of a job description. It's a fundamental part of who I am, ingrained in my values and reflected in every interaction I have with those entrusted to my care.
