LS6 1NU 32744 I have a passion for working with people from different backgrounds, understanding their needs, engaging in various activities, meeting new individuals, making a difference in people’s lives, and being there for those who need me whenever necessary. I have a background in IT; however, I left that industry to join the care sector, which I find rewarding because I can truly make a difference in people’s lives. I have studied Radiotherapy and Oncology, but I did not finish the course due to circumstances beyond my control. Based on my experience in care so far, I believe I am a friendly, empathetic, and caring person. My previous clients have expressed that I am a good person, always smiling, and would love to continue working with me. These comments have boosted my confidence in what I do and have made me very passionate about my job. I am open to new challenges, willing to learn, and respond well to any constructive criticism. I have worked with various clients, including young adults with learning disabilities, those with mild mental health issues, and the elderly, including individuals with Alzheimer’s and early-stage dementia. I have worked in care homes, supported living homes, and as a live-in carer in people’s houses. I believe I can make a difference in people’s lives and bring a smile even in difficult circumstances. My hobbies include watching movies, sports, travelling, and listening to music, among other activities.

I am a compassionate person, although I didn’t realise it until a few friends pointed it out. For example, on one occasion, I went out of my way from a rural area to find shops where I could buy some strong pain relief tablets when I encountered an elderly man struggling with pain in his hip who could hardly walk. I wanted to ensure that he was not in such agony. There have been many instances where people have commented on my compassion. I am also a reassuring person; in the example mentioned, I assured the man that he would be okay and that I would be there to help him. In addition to the above, I am empathetic, kind, understanding, and patient. I treat everyone with respect, including those I care for. I can also be relied upon. During my caring duties, I remain observant so that if there is any negative change in the individuals I am caring for, I can address it if possible, or report it to health providers, such as the client’s GP or emergency health services. I am trustworthy and can be counted on.

LS14 6SY 351999 I believe that at some point in our lives, we need help from others, regardless of who we are. Knowing that I need help from others makes me a good carer, and I look after my clients the way I would like someone to look after me. I make it personal and carry out my job with love, reliability, compassion, and empathy. When I started doing care work over 20 years ago, I was not quite sure if it was something I really wanted to do. Now, I cannot imagine swapping this job for anything else. Caring isn’t just my job — it’s something I genuinely care about. I have experience in supporting people with both basic and complex care needs, whether they are young or old. Over many years, I have supported individuals with mental health issues, physical disabilities, reduced mobility, long-term conditions, and complex care needs. Name it, and I would like to think that "I might have seen it all." I am confident in personal care, medication support, mobility assistance, meal preparation, companionship, and creating a safe, calm environment at all times. What makes me different is the way I care. I take time to listen. I respect routines. I understand that everyone wants to feel valued, not just looked after. My goal is always to promote dignity, independence, and comfort. A day with me means patience, kindness, good conversation, and dependable support tailored around you. Whether it’s helping you start your morning comfortably, preparing meals you enjoy, or simply sharing a chat and a laugh, I aim to make each day feel lighter and more supported. I am flexible with my availability and committed to providing consistent, high-quality care you can trust. Your wellbeing will always come first with me.
