HP2 6AA 88104 Caring for elderly is my choice. I have 10 years of elderly care experience and I am educated to a degree level. I am a member of NACAS - National Association of Care Professionals and I have an online DBS for the UK Scotland and Northern Ireland. For some years I worked for a care company in Hospital to Home Care team where I gained lots of experience with a vast range of disabilities, illness stages and demanding care needs.  I looked after clients with brain injury, dementia, after hospital treatments, in palliative care - bed bound and on wheelchair.  I have experience in operating all types of hoists,  in catheter care and stoma bags. I am patient, friendly, well organised and I like to keep the house tidy. I make sure that the client is not bored watching TV all day, but engaged into activities such as memory supporting games, word search, puzzles, etc. , that we can do together. I also provide personal care, assist with meals and medications. I am happy to cook light & healthy meals and bake bread or sweet options. Obviously, I always discuss the menu with the person I care for respecting her/his meal preferences on that day. I like staying with clients for longer - for one of my clients I've been caring for five and half years until the very end.   I have a car and a full clean driving license. My clients enjoy to be taken out to see their relatives, friends, walking in greenery or shopping. I noticed that even a short walk in a park revives them and makes up for a  missing ''social life" and people contact.  As most carers I charge 150% on Bank Holidays. I am willing to learn new skills and I think, I adapt easily to a new environment and new clients. I prefer to meet the client first and discuss in person any potential cooperation. I always put myself in the shoes of my clients to understand their perspective and I take every effort to make their life easier than it is. I create friendly, happy relationships with my clients and I believe, that I can bring a great positive change to the life of my clients and their families. Please get in touch if you think I could make a change to your elderly one you love.

HP2 5AA 253717 Hello, My name is Nadine, and caring for people at the end of life is both my vocation and my passion. In 2022, I trained with Going with Grace to become a certified End-of-Life Doula. Since then, I’ve supported clients at Peace Hospice Watford and worked in live-in care roles, often with elderly people living with dementia. I’m registered with the National End of Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) and trained as a Quietude Practitioner, offering gentle spiritual and emotional companionship to those nearing or at the end of life. Alongside this, I’m certified in Thai Massage and Chi Nei Tsang (abdominal massage), and I facilitate Talk for Health, a therapeutic talking program. In my free time, I also host Death Cafés, creating supportive spaces where people can share openly about life, death, and everything in between. Outside of my professional work, I love yoga, nature, traveling, cooking, and reading. These interests keep me grounded and inspire the care I provide. My aim is always to bring presence, comfort, and dignity, tailored to each individual’s needs. With warmth, Nadine

LU1 4EF 60911 I have been told I am the sort of person who lights up a room when they walk into it. I know older people suffer with depression or low moods, and as a carer I am someone who provides a lift, not a dampener. ... I have a sunny disposition which helps me to elicit cooperation and soothe my clients. I enjoy working with people and enjoy jobs where I have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of my Grandma and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone’s life. I like doing a variety of tasks in a day. I don’t ever say, “that’s not my job” but instead I like pitching in to do whatever is needed. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person’s day better. I take pride in attention to detail. I don’t want a desk job; I like being physical in my job and using my body as well as my brain. I have invested many years of formal education. I have done various management jobs in the care sector. I feel that when I am older, I would want someone like myself there to help me if I need help.
