N1 7AA 48491 *available from Oct 2023* I am a mature, highly capable and easy-going mother of three grown-up children, as well as being an experienced junior primary school teacher and live-in carer. I am now seeking occasional companion based live-in work, preferably in central London. For the last 7 and a half years I have worked as a live-in carer for elderly people however most of my work experience has been in the teaching profession – I have run a home school for young children for several years, have taught in private and government schools – I have also been a part-time nanny. I am intelligent and responsible enough to cope with just about any situation while retaining a good sense of humour. I can be trusted implicitly to love, nurture and care for anybody dependent on me regardless of their age. I have an easy-going, friendly manner and get on well with people from all walks of life. I am conscientious and happy to get stuck in wherever needed and am not afraid of hard work. I am a competent cook and really enjoy preparing tasty meals. I am also very happy to mind animals in any care-giving job.

Understanding dementia with alzheimer's society

N16 0JT 76416 I have a back ground working with (CBOs ) Community Based Organisations. In my line of work I have always met people with different needs in terms of their well being. Listening to those people made me wanting to help them more and most especially reassuring and creating confidence in them. I have worked on a project called EPP, expert patient programme and this, introduced me to people who had a variety of health issues/ long term conditions. The programme was to help them manage their conditions .This makes me a superb carer for many patients have passed through my hands. The most fascinating client I have worked with for 5 years who just passed on last month, had a very rare condition called FOP-A rare genetic connective tissue disorder. This client encouraged me to self teach myself about that condition which made me an outstanding carer and I was able to bring more life to him. I have done courses on Mental health and I am in position to care for someone suffering from anxiety, depression etc... I have worked with patients who had stroke and early dementia and I managed them very well. I am passionate about my work caring, kind and always bring joy and happiness when I am on duty. I am experienced and confident, I am trustworthy and I have good communication skills. I always have a listening ear to my clients/patients. I provide emotional support to my clients/patients and I am a self motivated worker as well as dedicated to my job. I also have hands on experience from in-house training on how to use NIV: Non Intensive Ventilation but no certificate. For Live out, I would prefer to work Monday to Friday. For live in position, I am only available for Friday to Monday 2 weekends in a month as I am currently working with a client the other 2 weekends. Also, I am happy to cover areas in about 30 to 40miles . For the position of live in, I would have 2 hours break so Family or Client have to arrange cover for that break time. Bank holidays are charged at double time. Finally, I am a very good team player ,a problem solver and always eager to learn new skills .

N1 0AB 107978 I have recently submitted my dissertation on childhood obesity in the U.K. as part of my work towards a Masters degrees in Public Health. Throughout this course I’ve learnt a lot about health promotion, prevention and intervention. However one of my favourite areas or modules was the ethical issues in healthcare because of my previous experience in relation to the capacity of a patient and tailoring the service to fit his needs in order to make it a holistic service as opposed to a service that only covers some of his needs. At the moment I have my a lot of availability in the day and I want to continue to use it to provide support services for those who need it the most. I am very hands on, a team player, a good communicator and listener, a good manager of time and resources amongst other things. I also am very patient in my approach to working with service users and friendly.
