NP19 0FF 3383 I have worked in the care sector for about 21yrs now in various settings. In the past 3 years I have been working in the community as a PA alongside my Care Office position. I have all the mandatory training and my moving and handling in up to date. I believe being a good carer is not something one can be taught it comes from within. I am passionate about helping vulnerable people in the community , assisting them to reach their potential. I enjoy travelling and learning about other cultures. I love going for walks as exercise as it gives me time to myself. I used to read a lot crime thrillers but I listen to the Radio 4 extra more, I like the book readings as they allow you to complete other tasks whilst being entertained. I have full drivers license , I can drive Manual / Auto and have access to a car with business insurance. My availability is any day during the week and every other weekend.

BS6 7AB 167361 My professional background is in nursing, a career I have been dedicated to since 1987. I spent 16 years working within the NHS as a Theatre Advanced Practitioner Nurse, where I developed strong clinical skills and a deep commitment to patient care. In 2013, I took a break from my career to care for my father. During that time, I realized how meaningful it is to support loved ones in their most vulnerable moments. When I returned to work, that experience inspired me to pursue a path in geriatric care. For the past eight years, I have been working as a live-in carer, supporting clients with a range of complex health conditions, including mild to advanced dementia, kidney failure, hypotension, double incontinence, cancer, and those who are bedridden. This role has strengthened not only my clinical expertise but also my compassion, patience, and understanding. I have come to recognize that caring for the elderly is not just a job for me, but a true calling. I bring flexibility, a wide range of skills, and a genuine dedication to providing high-quality, person-centered care. I treat every individual with the same respect, kindness, and love that I would offer to my own family. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy gardening, dancing, listening to music, and reading about developments in nursing, current health issues, and technological trends. I also appreciate spending my downtime watching light-hearted and uplifting content.
