I have 18 years care working experience in a wide spectrum of care settings meeting different patient care needs. I am a compassionate, hard working and reliable professional with excellent communication and organisational skills. I have a good grounding of person-centred care, treating each client as an individual with own unique needs. I work hard to build therapeutic relationships with clients based on mutual trust, respect and maintaining dignity and confidentiality. Most importantly, I am a good active listener with emotional intelligence and cultural competence. I always strive to understand client situation from their perspective and being led by them to meet their needs through working collaboratively with them and their families as they know and understand the client's needs better than I do to meet client's holistic needs. I have NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care, Learning Disability Award Framework (LDAF) for working with people with learning disabilities provided by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities, BA Honours in Social and Community Development, Certificate in Education and 12 months Mental Health Nurse training experience at graduate level. I have completed all mandatory training requirements needed for nurse practice such as manual handling and Medication Administration and First Aid and I have a current on-line DBS.
