BH12 5HT 262948 I have worked in Care for 10 years and realised that this is where I find the most joy meeting clients and learning more about them. By doing so, I am able to provide the best experiences for them to enjoy their interests and hobbies, making them feel like they are in control of their day to day choices. My first exposure to Care was when I volunteered a Care Home in Chile where we spent our time assisting with meals, feeding, clearing up, then doing activities such a playing games, knitting, crafts, also manicures for the ladies and nail cutting for the men. This was the deciding point in my life where I realised my passion is to Care for individuals, always trying to make it fun and varied. I am very patient and accommodating, always keeping the next person in mind. Having done all levels of training in the industry, I can utilise those skills to ensure I complete my tasks safely and effectively. I like to approach my Care as if I am caring for my own Mom and Dad, I would do anything to ensure they are well cared for and lack for nothing. I have worked with clients with Alzheimers and Dementia, Parkinsons, Stroke and challenged mobility. I have assisted clients in end of life care and ensured the family was kept informed at all times. In all these cases I work well with third parties, GPs, Physiotherapists, District Nurses, Palliative team, Specialist therapists (speech) My typical day would be ensure my client is assisted with their personal care and is well groomed. I am able to provide a nail cutting services and make sure they look their best, ensuring they have been given the choice of what they would like to wear. I would then prepare any meals, administer medication and ensure there are sufficient drinks so they stay well hydrated through the day. I am more than happy to then complete any home chores, put on the washing, change bedding, hoover, empty bins, and ensure the home is pristine. If I need to leave a snack for later, that will be left ready for when required. If the client is wanting to go out to any activities, or to do some shopping, I have a full clean driving licence and will happily take my client out to their favourite coffee shop for their most enjoyed treats. Before I became a Carer, I worked in Regulation in an office environment, and since I have done Care, it has made me realise how valuable and precious our lives are and to be able to give the next person the opportunity to live their lives their way and to the make it as fulfilling as possible. I love entertaining, cooking and travelling, which is another way to meet people from all walks of life, discover the interesting foods they eat, and just to learn about the history of their country. This has proved beneficial being a Carer because I can always share my travel stories and prepare meals differently to make it all the more interesting. Having "crafternoon" sessions, is another way I enjoy engaging with my clients ensuring they are improving their fine motor skills, it improves their self esteem and will bolster their mood. It is always lovely to have a sense of achievement. I would love to hear from you, so do get in touch. Thank you.

BH23 2JH 17953 I am a Capetonian South African with a British citizenship.I have been doing live-in care for just over 5 years now. I've always wanted to give back to society in a healing, caring, and loving way whilst earning a living. I helped my mother look after my grandmother after she had a stroke and it was a very rewarding and priceless experience for me to give back to all the great years of loving and care my grandmother gave me as a child she taught me so much about life and how to do things and I will cherish her for the rest of my life. I love engaging with the elderly and listening to all their life stories they have such alot of wisdom to share. I like practicing Reiki Healing, I also like arts and crafts, cooking, and gardening. I don't mind traveling max 2hrs for a live-in placement. I only do live-in care at the moment.
