Love to help people and believe in giving back to society. I am ex British army medic who served for nearly 8 years both local and overseas and last posting being with the Gurkars /Nepali soldiers, I developed a lot of experiences working with different nationalities and having being in domiciliary, complex and critical care since 2016. I have experienced and gained enormous amount of knowledge and skills not withstanding the pressures at work and complexity of caring for someone and after being injured and being discharged from the army. I am now an adult nursing student at university. Transferred skills: I enjoy fitness and assisting people with their physiotherapy programs, something I used to do for injured in rehabilitation recovering from their injuries. I have worked in the A&E. I am flexible for long day shifts and sleep over and preferably waking nights. I have worked with people with brain injury, palliative and MND and so on. I have done all my mandatory training including medication training to train other, first and at work and mental health first aid. I have experience in stand hoisting, ceiling, electric hoist, mobile hoist, rotenders and assisting people use the Zimmer frame. I have experience working at Treloars; school of disabilities as well. I have worked with some injured personnel and critically ill client outside the military. I enjoy what I do and whatever I do is client centred, less of me. I am open minded and honest and do not like covering up errors or wrongs. However with the ethos and expertise from from both areas of healthcare, I have decided to render my life as service to humanity and putting smiles on people’s faces {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":"0","field_care_type_first":null,"field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":"0","field_care_type_second":null,"field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":"0","field_care_type_third":null,"field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":"0","field_care_type_fourth":null,"field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":"0","field_care_type_fifth":null,"field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":"0","field_care_type_sixth":null,"field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":"0","field_care_type_seven":null}

SO50 6FW 196767 "In 2016, I embarked on a journey as a carer, initially thinking it would be a brief endeavor. However, over time, I discovered a deep sense of fulfillment in assisting those in need. My experience has taken me through diverse caregiving environments, including nursing homes, care homes, and supported living, where my primary focus has been on individuals aged 18 and above. Dedicated to continuous improvement, I diligently attend training sessions every six months or yearly, ensuring that I stay updated with the latest knowledge and skills. My proficiency extends to handling various aspects of care, medications, and providing support for individuals dealing with epilepsy. Beyond caregiving, I bring to the table a reliable and careful driving record. Whether it's a manual or automatic car, big or small, I navigate with ease, having encountered no incidents in my driving history. My passion is to get out there and make a difference to someone's life, by providing a proper dignified care. My aim is to get to know the person I will be helping as communication is the key to get to understand the needs of the person. I'm flexible on my working day or night shifts or sleep ins. My hobbies are cooking, walking, ,gardening and travelling. The most important part as a carer is to listen and understand the needs of the person, as much as communicating with the family, also to respect the privacy, dignity and choices and treat every individuals differently by respecting their values. Its always my pleasure to see changes when I'm providing care to individuals as that gives me strength and hope that anything is possible. I always encourage the person I'm helping to live independently as much as they can by supporting them to achieve that. I happy to travel for live in jobs within 100 miles radius as long as traveling expenses are covered 1 way by my clients. For live in clients my rates may increase or decrease depending on the clients condition and what is required of me. I am happy to care for couples my live in rate would be increased by 20%. For day and night shifts I am looking for regular clients of 6/12 hour shifts, unfortunately I would be unable to deliver hourly visits at this time. Looking forward to working with you and I hope my profile will attract someone out there.
