PL4 6BW 193366 Kind, caring and hardworking. At least that’s how my previous clients, friends and family would describe me. I have 7 years experience in the care industry working and providing high levels of client centered care. I enjoy the social interactions, broadening my mind and getting to know my clients and their families on a more personal level as well as maintaining professionalism. I have a gcse (o-level) in health and social care as well as a level 3 diploma in adult care, although I would like the opportunity to help the younger generation (children and adolescents) also, as I can relate to all ages of life. I specialize in complex dementia needs and have the most experience in atypical and typical Parkinsons and Lewy bodies. I have worked a lot with motor neurone disease and in palliative care. From my past clients I have felt honored working in end of life palliative care. The first time I saw death, when I was a child, I felt a little scared, but now I have come to realize that death is inevitable - from my time working in the ambulance service - and getting to spend those last moments caring for someone is a beautiful as well as very sad part of life. I enjoy driving and have a clean driving license and enjoy both planning and taking clients out for scenic trips and going to national trust places for them to enjoy the breath taking views, smells and experiences. I was just leaving school when I got my first job as a carer. I thought I'd try it out and see how it went because my mother and I used to visit a care home every Friday afternoon to see a friend. I tried it and the only feedback I've ever gotten is thanks, gratitude and positivity, so I soon realized that this was what I'm good at so why not continue. I love to ski! In fact, it’s my favourite hobby so much so that when I was 7 yrs old I had a skiing accident and fractured my knee cap. (I still ski now in case you wondered.) I am a pianist of 18 yrs and in my own space I can play pieces such as ‘Moonriver’, ‘Canon in D’, ‘make me a channel of your peace’ ect. I like both classical and modern music. Really sorry, but I think Mozart is overrated although I have been to the house in which he was born in Salzburg, Austria. Currently I am in the process of updating my training certificates, until this is completed I am looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. Please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. ? 1 1 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":true,"field_care_type_fourth":"1, 4","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":true,"field_care_type_fifth":"1, 4","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1, 4","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}

PL9 7ER 128213 Hello and thank you for looking at my profile. I love working with people and providing person centered care and support by focusing on their goals and what's important to them but also to enable them to do things for themselves to promote their independence I have currently over 20 years experience in Health and Social since leaving college but the past 11 years I have loved working as an Occupational Therapy Support Worker for the NHS in a local hospital supporting with safe and timely hospital discharges. This is achieved through providing advice, home assessments and issuing equipment which will help to maintain people's safety and independence. This is done by managing any long term needs and promoting further rehabilitation within their home environment to regain their confidence and strength with managing daily living tasks. I would like to think my greatest core skills and strengths are my interpersonal skills in being caring, compassionate and empathetic towards others needs and wishes but also having to understand the fears and anxieties which families may have for people living vulnerable and alone. I always like the phrase " treat others as you wish to be treated". Having worked in the NHS I am aware of the importance of legislative frameworks such as the importance of Safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act. Now you know a little about me professionally, you may like to get to know me as a person. For my personal enjoyment, I love craft and after completing a year of Architectural and Exhibition Signwork many years ago, continue to enjoy some bits as well as other craft work. I enjoy the magical wonders of the world and nature which has evolved during me walking my pet whippet Winston. I also like gardening and plants but also more active hobbies such as bike riding, kayaking and horse-riding when I am more able. Primarily I am looking to work in the Plymouth area, working weekdays or weekends but preferably on a short term basis or a one off episode of care. After having worked in the Occupational Therapy Department, ,my knowledge is in rehabilitation and equipment which can help people manage more independently at home, so I am Looking to work with more mobile clients (such as using a wheeled frame/ trolley/ four wheeled walker/ crutches/ sticks). I am willing to work in both a Personal Assistant role or that of a Carer and would also enjoy short term support such as supporting people being discharged from hospital. I am always willing and enjoy learning new skills as well as meeting new people. Now you've read my profile and if you're happy with what you've read about me and you feel I would be a good match for your need, please don't hesitate to get in contact. {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":false,"field_care_type_sixth":"","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":false,"field_care_type_seven":""}

PL21 0WN 66210 Hi, I'm Holly. I'm based in Devon but I am also more than happy to travel. Most of my life has involved taking care of my family, first of all, my children, then later, my elderly parents, and recently my grandson. I decided to become a professional carer in 2021. I'm given the feedback that I am good at taking care of people and have a kind, professional and patient nature. I love the naturalness of the work and the daily routine. It makes me happy to help others to be happy. I'm hard working and I have worked in a variety of settings. Live-in care is what I love the most, it's such a lovely environment to be in. I enjoy keeping a home tidy and organised, also attending to any admin matters that are needed such as contacting medical services. I'm a nature lover at heart and especially enjoy working with clients who appreciate nature. My greatest amount of experience is with dementia and I feel very comfortable in that realm. I am experienced in end-of-life care. By the way, my background is in nutrition. While I am passionate about healthy eating I absolutely respect the wishes of my clients when it comes to dietary choices. 1 2 {"field_week_day_first":1,"field_is_available_first":false,"field_care_type_first":"0","field_week_day_second":2,"field_is_available_second":false,"field_care_type_second":"0","field_week_day_third":3,"field_is_available_third":false,"field_care_type_third":"0","field_week_day_fourth":4,"field_is_available_fourth":false,"field_care_type_fourth":"0","field_week_day_fifth":5,"field_is_available_fifth":false,"field_care_type_fifth":"0","field_week_day_sixth":6,"field_is_available_six":true,"field_care_type_sixth":"1","field_week_day_seven":7,"field_is_available_seven":true,"field_care_type_seven":"1"}
