"My name is Anthonia, I am a qualified Adult Nurse, having completed my BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing at the University of Hull. My journey into nursing began with a strong passion for caring for others, developed during my work as a career at Victory Social Care. In my role as a Health assistant band 5, I am always in the frontline, working directly with service users, with generic mental health problems as well as substance misuse issues supporting them in their day-to-day activities. Throughout this period, I continue to practice person-centered/holistic care whilst maintaining an awareness of my professional accountability. Recognising the 6-Cs, Care, Compassion, Courage, Communication, Competences and Commitment.
In these roles I have used E-Systems to collate and maintain data, upheld confidentiality, worked in teams and autonomously on a regular basis. These working experiences have given me the opportunity to understand the role and functions of Forensic Service, Rehabilitation and Recovery Service within the NHS trust in a wider society as well as delivering positive behavioral support and developing skills in recognising triggers, relapse, signs of safeguarding, risk assessment and when to apply de-escalation techniques and breakaway.
My years as a health care assistant have given me a wealth of knowledge, experiences and skills regarding how to integrate my experience to support service
users and to improve quality patient outcomes whiles still maintaining equality and diversity, I have imbibed a professional healthcare role through my working experience too, which have given me opportunity to work within different Multidisciplinary Teams (MDT) on a different wards and settings.
I recognized the need to work and provide care for patients with significant mental health issues including, Schizophrenia, alcohol misuse, Bipolar Disorder, learning disability and Depression.
I work well with the as a team and independently to contribute positively to the patient pathway recovery as well as supporting nurses and doctors to deliver effective care to patients through appropriate nursing interventions.My learning and experience has given me a great insight into different service user groups, understanding of patient section within forensic unit;

The ability to handle confidential information and detect and prevent abuse are essential tools the holder of this role must possess, and they are qualities I have acquired through practice, training and education I have engaged with and the experience I have accrued over the years working for my agency via Bradford district trust and south westyorkshire partnership trust as agency staff and as a bank staff.
On reflection, I feel ready and confident to fulfil the responsibilities inherent within this role, utilising my transferable skills whilst recognising the challenges to come and remaining aware of my life long learning needs and addressing them.
