I have been doing live in care for 9 years and previously worked at QEH for 5 years as a Nursing Auxiliary. I have experience with Domiciliary Care in the community and have experience with varying conditions. I am personable, caring and understanding, and generally get on with all my clients, as I am flexible in my approach with people. I am a good cook and I’m extremely clean and tidy. I am well organised and adaptable when taking on any new role within my working life.
I’m friendly, compassionate, and sensible carer with four years’ caring experience behind me. I have a great sense of humour, but I take my job very seriously. The most important aspect of it, is to keep my clients safe and sound in their own homes. We don’t need infections and bugs. The easiest way to get those, is to go to hospital. So, minimising the risk of falls and infections is paramount. I have experience with dementia, spinal injury, catheter use, and for the past nine months, I have been closely involved with Parkinson's. For this condition, I understand the use of the specialised, time sensitive medication, moving and handling with hoists, swallowing challenges, and the use of exercises to improve mobility issues. However, if I was called upon to look after a client with a condition that I’m not familiar with, I am willing to learn new skills. I’m adept at dealing with surgeries, district nurses, physios, and occupational therapists, and I'm familiar with many types of equipment that can make a client’s life easier. I also believe in getting out of the house where possible, to events or socialising, or even if it’s just a walk with the client around the garden, or up and down the road. My cooking skills are really good, and I can produce not only traditional British meals, but even more exotic stuff. I believe in using fresh produce, and I don’t take the lazy way out by using frozen ready meals. I’m happy to travel throughout the UK, however, if distances are considerable, I would look to recover travel expenses. Should there be excessive night calls, there would be a surcharge. I am happy to work periods of 1 to 4 weeks at a time, but suggest a settling in initial period of a week or two, to get to know each other. I have established great relationships and friendships with my clients, and I believe that I have added an injection of happiness and positiveness into their lives. This in turn has touched me, bringing a lot of self-satisfaction into my own life. Should you be interested in my services, please contact me, and I will get back to you promptly.
My name is Eliza, and I am a 40-year-old Lithuanian living in the UK for the last 17 years.I am a dedicated and hardworking PA for both social and health care, with 10+ years of professional and personal experience in the caregiving field. Also, for almost 12 years, I worked as a qualified quality assurance auditor and quality assurance manager. Last year, I decided that office work was not something I wanted to do or pursue in the future. I recently got trained to become a PA to work with and assist clients affected by spinal injuries. In my caregiving experience for nearly 5 years, I worked with clients with severe disabilities and life-threatening conditions, including multiple sclerosis (MS). My experience encompasses working with paralysed clients, focusing on enhancing their quality of life through tailored care plans and empathetic support. I also have over 3 years of experience as a live-in carer for elderly and paralysed clients. In my personal life I was caring for the dementia patient for a few years. I believe I can use my skills and experience to make an effective contribution to young, vulnerable, unwell, and elderly people’s lives to make a positive change and help them in everyday life. I also completed and gained my certificate for the course ‘The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism’. I am looking for additional caregiving job opportunities to fill in my free time from my main job (2 weeks on and 2 weeks off); to be more specific, I am looking for hourly and overnight jobs only within the West Norfolk area, ideally within a 20-mile radius of Kings Lynn. I love animals and cooking; therefore, I would happily help with a healthy meal prep or dog walking. I recently enrolled in and am studying a Personal Exercise, Health, and Nutrition course, which I do enjoy very much. I firmly believe I would be a great help working with people in need because every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and happy.
