I have been working in Care for 5 years now. Prior to this I was a Beauty Therapist for over 20 years, then Covid bought us all to a stand still and it was then I went into care work. I wanted to help in some way so i worked for Home Instead, I went to the elderly to help them in their homes. A year on I started to work in Burwash supporting adults with learning disabilities. This position is very different and can be very challenging. I support residents to appointments, visiting family, trips out, shopping but also assist in personal care, feeding and every day support. I intend to continue to work here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am due to complete my NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care in the next few months. In my spare time I enjoy walking, mountain biking, and exploring Wales and Scotland. I love gardening, cooking, music and spending time with my son, family and friends.
