I have been working 22 years as a carer. I am a compassionate person willing and ready to work. Self motivated, dependable and reliable. When I am working with the client I make sure they are free from abuse and neglect. I get the satisfaction that I help the client to meet their needs and goals. I also enjoy providing hope and assurance to the clients I look after. I have many years of experience working as a live in carer and I find that a 6-8 week on and 1-2 week off rotation works very well. This allows me to provide long term continuity of care ensuring we build a strong trusting relationship. My hobbies are cooking, reading and walking.
A caring, friendly and sensitive individual who has much experience of working as part of a team or lone working, and who is dedicated to making a real difference to a person’s life. I always ensures a patient orientated approach in the delivery of any care I am involved in, fully committed to client’s needs. I greatly enjoy the relationship building aspect of the job, in particular forming bonds with service users and thereby learning how to care for them better and be more attentive to their specific needs. I am currently looking for a suitable position with clients that are seeking exceptional and talented care yet a professional person..
Having worked as a living carer for more than 8 years has allowed me to gain experience by working with clients with very different needs. I have worked with clients that needed support with blindness, tetraplegia, cerebral pulse, Parkinson's, dementia early, and late stage, palliative care, accident rehabilitation, strokes, stoma care, peg feeding, cancer, wheelchair use, driving, vulnerable adults and other more general conditions where care was needed. What I like most about working as a living carer is that I can provide high quality of care and support that enables my client to enjoy life living independently in their own home. I am an excellent driver and I hold a clean full UK driving licence with no points or convictions. I am also a very good cook, and I really enjoy cooking. I can prepare meals for more than one person at a time, and if you are married, or if you would like to meet with friends or family it would be a pleasure for me being able to cook for you and your family seeing you together sharing in the best of company. Sometimes I have traveled abroad with my clients to go on holidays, visit their family, and once to go to a wedding. And If you need to go abroad as well as English I also speak Spanish, Catalan, basic Italian, and basic Chinese Mandarin. And I can drive LHD or RHD vehicles, manual or automatic. I can provide company, and I am also a good listener, time keeper, and organised and tidy and always keen to follow instructions. I love animals, and If you have pets, or other animals, I am more than happy to help in any way I can. I can work for a short length of time, and for longer periods, from a week or a few days to up to 3 months at a time, and then I usually have a break for a week or two. You may find that my rates are a bit higher than other carers, but you will notice the difference in the quality of care I provide and in the level of commitment I put in everything I do and the peace of mind that it gives. Please feel free to ask me anything you would like to know, as I always try to be flexible, respond promptly and adapt in every way I can. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile bio. I would really love to hear from you.
I will provide you with the first class care service you deserve. I go beyond the call of duty to ensure you are happy, healthy and living your best life. I like to work hard and have fun while I'm working. When the relationship between client and support worker flourishes, every day is a joy, and that is what I aim for every day I work with you. Whatever you need or want, I will be delighted to help you with it. I really enjoy my job and that reflects in the service you will recieve. My service is kind, respectful, reliable and trustworthy. My personal interests include film, exercise, travelling and the countryside and music. My services include companionship and fun, days out, tidying, personal care, administration help, personal errands, helping with moving.. really whatever you need I have you covered. I also have experience in helping people manage medical conditions from diabetes, to epilpesy and cerebral palsy. I have years of experience and my proofof qualification, backgrpumd check and driving licence are all verified by Curam.
