I have also worked with a Rehab team with qualified nurses for individuals being admitted/discharged to/from hospital, trying to avoid hospital admittance and also encouraging clients to do things they used to do before hospital stays. I am a good companion, a good listener and am able to put loved ones at ease and of course will always make time for a cup of tea and chatter. My duties are doing personal care, assist with food and drink, moving and handling (including how to move client from bed to chair and from chair to bed with frame or without from minimal assistance, I also know how to use and who can use standaid as well as using hoist to transfer clients, using Rota stand, using bath hoist and using wheelchair), Catheter care (which include how to clean the area, emptying the urine from leg bag and night bag and connecting it as well as measuring urine output, where you should put drainage bag and managing signs and symptoms of catheter blockage), continence care prompting with medication as well as doing activities with residents and assist bath and shower. I am always ready to make my residents happy, comfortable and safe.
