I have been working consistently in the care sector for the last 20 years. In that time, I have worked in various care settings looking after different kind of people with varied care needs. I have great experience in elderly care, young people from disadvantaged families, people with learning disability (young and adults), people with mental disabilities, physical disabilities and also young adults leaving care. In my experiences, I have in particular liked working with our senior citizens; I enjoy listening to theirs life experiences if they want to share these; I also love that I’m making a difference in their lives, helping them to live comfortably the way they choose to. I’m always conscious that given a chance to choose their health status, everyone would choose to be healthy and independent. I respect every person’s choices. I have great communication skills, both verbal and non verbal; I have great observational skills; I’m a great companion and I’m great at reading other people’s non verbal language- for instance one person might love to chat while someone else might prefer their own company. I manage my clients home and personal spaces well, keeping in mind their preferences. I’m fairly good cook. Generally I am a positive person with a lot of positive energy for daily tasks and I’m always encouraging my clients to do the things they are able to do. I create an environment of teamwork with my clients and other people involved in the clients care. To be great carer, it comes from the heart. I’m am a great care; In my years of working as a carer have met many good people/ families of clients some of whom are still friends.
Hello my name is Jan. I have 20 years experience in the Care industry. I have worked in residential and Community Care setting and have lots of experience. I'm a kind and caring person compassionate, a good listener and have lots of empathy in my work, i love to build up a relationship with the people i work with so i can get to know their interests and hobbies so they feel comfortable and at ease with me. I love cooking and to make sure that my clients have a nutrition meal, willing to do light housework hovering, ironing and making sure all areas are clean and safe where I'm working with clients. I have worked with people that are in the early stages of dementia through to advance. In my role as a carer I've had the experience of palliative care to end of life, which includes all aspects of personal care skin care and also companion work. My hours I prefer to work are Monday- Friday but also willing to help with sleeps ins or waking nights and working 1 weekend out of 4 if needed. please get in touch. If you think I can help you. I would love to hear from you.

Hi! My name's Inga. I've been in the care field for quite some time and have experience working in different capacities. I've worked in domicilary care with elderly, in care homes, have been a live-in personal assistant for people with spinal injuries, have worked with people with learning disabilities, and also have cared for terminally ill, dying people. One of the most touching experiences in my carer's career was being able to support a man after his wife's death (for whom I also looked after), help him accept the inevitable and come to terms with our mortality in a way that was soft and gentle. The main duties, of course, are to help with personal care, household tasks and similar jobs related to the client's needs and wants. But very important part of the job is also to make a difference in clients' emotional lives - to bring more joy in their day, promote their autonomy, be a compassionate companion in their challenges. I have to say I am good at that too. I love being in nature, listening to music, and am interested and practising different holistic healing modalities. I'm able to support people in their interests even if it's not something I'm enthusiastic about. When I'm at work client's needs come first and foremost. For example, even though I'm vegetarian, I don't mind cooking meat for clients. I'm a driver and love taking people out for social occasions; am computer literate and able to do administrative tasks. Such qualities as patience, kindness, and calmness help me build good relationships with people. If this resonates, please get in touch.
