I've been a carer, now for more than 9 years. I started in Oct 2015 with a small agency. I went on to work as a domiciliary carer the following year, as well as working with other agencies. This gave me experience in care, residential, and nursing homes, and also in the community with extensive experience of various care needs, which includes mental health and support work. I've been working as a live-in carer, with my current agency now for over two years, which has taken me all over the country, and (Scotland). I enjoy live-in since I can give one to one care, which I believe is more beneficial. I've given companion care and have formed friendships from this. My job as a carer has allowed me to visit some great places in the U.K. I would most likely never go to or know about and meet some lovely people. I enjoy creative hobbies when I'm not working as I studied art and design when I left school.
