I love nature, being outdoors, appreciating the seasons and what they bring. Simple gardening for a pleasing outlook and a small allotment for growing my own vegetables. I have a horse, a dog and a cat at home. All have been rescued! And I love making their lives better by spending time with them to notice their needs as well as their gifts. I spent 5 years teaching/assisting in a Steiner school in the kindergarten and upper school. This experience allowed me to share arts and crafts in the making in a selfless, encouraging and quiet way. When I left I began baking various breads for my local community and offered baking workshops to children and adults on a one2one basis as well as groups. Also held regular cookery classes at a home in Cheltenham for homeless young adults. A good number of these participants were able to get jobs and their own lodgings with the knowledge they had gained. Recently I have been working with the over 55s to enhance their wellbeing in a holistic way, using mixed methods; NLP, TFH Kinesiology, Nia technique, Steiner philosophy, massage, dance and mindfulness. All of which I have qualified to the practitioner/facilitator level. I love to get to know my people so that they feel comfortable with me. And I can talk their language, using appropriate words and exercise for their bespoke programme. The outcome is always joyful, and a relationship that evolves into a trustworthy friendship.
My name is Emmely, I have been a health care assistant for 17 years and I have a nursing background, I was an auxiliary nurse in South Africa, I have a lot experience working with people with early and late stage dementia,Autism, I’m patient and reliable, easy to work with other people, I like cooking, going out for walks, music, going to church, cleaning and watching TV.
Hi there my name is Semida. I have in total 8 years of experience of working in the care sector in the UK, 5 years working as a HCA worker working via care agencies in care homes, respite care, supported living with clients with learning disabilities and 3 years working as a live in carer. I'm compassionate, caring and friendly with extended experience dealing with people with early stages dementia ,early stage of vascular dementia, epilepsy, companionship for elderly people. I was working in elderly Homes, residential, respite and rehabilitation centre. When starting with a new client I prefer to have a 3 week settling in period where I get to know my clients needs, if after this period both sides are happy with my care I am happy to increase my rotation to 6/ 8 weeks of care. I like to cook fresh meals from scratch, to keep everything simple and easy, to involve clients as much as possible with it. I can teach my clients how to cook international dishes specifically Romanian dishes. Cleaning is very important to me. My hobbies are jogging, taking care of pets - dogs specially, Reading , gardening, learning to cook, foreign languages, traveling , voluntary work -feeding homeless or doing different task in elderly homes, meeting new people from different backgrounds. While in placements my main focus is my clients and their wellbeing, I'm not available for outside jobs except light gardening.
