My grandparents always instilled within me, values of care and respect when I was younger. This motivated me to forge a career within care including working in clinical settings within the NHS as well as private residential care homes. I found this to be rewarding and fulfilling as well as enabling me to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of vulnerable adults and the elderly. Over the years I have been able to provide care and support to my patients and clients with various health conditions such as Stroke & Brain Injury, MS and Dementia care.
My name is Corina. I worked as a carer for 5 years in a nursing home. I’ve always been interested in work that involves helping others and making a positive impact. I enjoy being an active member of my community and helping people. I have different professional trainings such as Fire Safety, Health and Safety, Infection Control, End of Life, Food Safety and many others related to Care sector. I have worked with people with different stages of dementia and i have provided end of life care. I can provide services as bathroom assistance, personal care, helping with meals. I have Medication training which enables me to administer different types of medication. I am a very compassionate, caring and patient person. I would love to work with people who needs my care services.
I was born in good old Exeter, Devon. The daughter of two parents who immigrated to the UK from Hong Kong. I am thankful that my parents taught me Cantonese from a young age, and helped me to be a good cook and baker. I love cooking freshly fluffy scones, Soy marinated Wagyu beef with fresh vegetables and slow simmering sweet onions to make onion soup. I’m a food junkie and love to explore different restaurants to experience a variety of cuisines. I love to be active so whenever the weather is nice I try to go walking in the countryside with my dog, Milo (safe to say I sometimes enjoy it more than he does). A few of years ago, right out of the blue, my caring, strong, hard working, older mother was diagnosed with dementia. I mention it here because I understand and empathise how difficult it is to see a loved one becoming so vulnerable and confused with her life. I was already working in care, but mainly with younger people with higher support needs. My mum's experience made me look again at caring for older client's, and just how rewarding that can be. I have 7 years experience within the care sector. This is how I would sum up my job. I love caring and being with people and adjusting to people’s needs. Helping and supporting clients with their needs. Build trust and friendship with my clients. It’s my passion. My availability is weekends but can help out in the evenings.
My name is Jenny. I’m hard working, caring person, cheerful and a clean lady. I have worked in Care for 24 years. I have lots of experience in Dementia, Peg feeding, Stoma bag and catheter care. I enjoy helping others and making a positive difference in their lives. l like cooking fresh food and going out for shopping. I’m a reliable person, honest and trustworthy. Reference are available if they are needed. Caring for the vulnerable is a very rewarding to me. I have done trainings and l believe I do the best I can in any caring job.
