I am originally from South Africa. I have varying experience and have had varying experiences. I provided community nursing support in South Africa to phyciatric nurses and midwives in the community. This would be first aid out in the field, counseling to victims of domestic abuse, providing resource information as well as supporting aids patients, with daily care, this palliative care would be daily washing, eating, companionship. I also worked closely with social services to provide care to abandoned babies and children, it has always been my understaning that people are unique and wonderful. We all fundamentally need and deserve the BEST possible care, respect and support to live our best and chosen life. I consider it a privledge to be "allowed" to help someone in various ways through their day. I have delivered suport in many various ways, from domicillian to live in care, for a variety of diagnoses. From daily pad changes to showers or baths, meal preparations and shopping support. Ever case is individual and personalised according to each person's needs. I also follow care plans as required. I have worked for 20 + years delivering personal care, support and companionship, I have worked in hospitals , personal homes, care homes and supporting people in the community. I am happy to provide hoisting and handling as a second carer , or to be discussed should moving and handling not involve hoisting, please let me know your needs and I am happy to help if possible.
