Hi I have been working in the care sector for approx 12 years.I am NVQ Health and Social Care qualified at both level 2 and 3 I also have 2 years study towards an Open University Health and Social Care Degree. I have worked in a challenging behaviour environment, this was for approx 5 years both a carer and as a team leader. I worked to support a family and young adult to live as independent a life as possible, liaising with family members and care professionals. Conditions included non verbal, aggressive behaviour, I have also delivered care in a domiciliary setting, meeting and supporting clients in their own homes to help with personal care, housework, medication and to promote independent living I would assist clients to engage in the community also. I have also worked in care homes where i have again promoted independence but at the same time to support both clients and family members with palliative care support. I have also worked with individual clients on a full time basis most recently with a young lady that suffered brain injury and needed help with rehabilitation to provide extra skills and confidence to work towards independence. I take pride in the role I perform, I am a kind and patient person, that likes to make a difference. I have good communications skills and understand completely the need for client confidentiality. You will be able to rely upon me to be there on time and be flexible to meet your needs. I like to build a rapport with my clients and hopefully you will feel as though I am a member of your family. I am also a fully qualified foot practitioner so if needed a further service I can offer. I have a full clean driving licence.
Hi, I have many years experience in caring. I have cared for my own family. I have worked in a local authority care home as well as for a private company caring for clients in their own homes. I have also worked in a private nursing residential care home supporting nurses to care for a varied range of clients. I love my work but most of all I love making a difference to someone’s life. It’s very important to me to ensure my client always has the most dignified care. I’m committed , honest, reliable, empathetic, patient, respectful and extremely caring. I’m very much a peoples person and providing care has always been natural to me. I’m always happy to go the extra mile to ensure that I provide the very best care. I believe in treating people as you or your family would want to be treated. I pride myself in my work and am extremely confident in my caring abilities. I specialise in palliative care. I have cared for clients with MND and cancer. I love cooking, gardening, watching movies, documentaries, listening to music, walking, keeping fit and keeping the house clean! As I’m not a driver I’m looking to care locally to me in the Great Cornard area CO10. Thank you, Teresa MNACAS VCPR
Before working in care and while raising a family, I worked mainly in office based jobs. In my own time I supported an elderly neighbour with light housework, gardening, walking her little companion dog, accessing the community, or just called in for a cup of tea and a chat. I also supported a friend who was a wheelchair user and accompanied him to fundraising and social events. Since my children have now all flown the nest, I have pursued my passion to work in care. I have worked previously as a rehabilitation support worker for people who have ABI (acquired brain injury}, and was working on an employed basis for the elderly in a care home setting for over two and a half years before going back to one-to-one support for individuals with ABI. I love to get to know the individuals I support and care for as this allows me to provide 'person centered' care in the true sense, and gain a deeper understanding of an individuals care needs. When I hear from residents or clients that I care for that "It is nice to receive care from someone who really cares', it just melts my heart and fills me with pride and fulfillment in what I do. I love animals and understand and appreciate how important companion animals can be, I know how important my dog is to my own happiness and wellbeing. I have a genuine interest in people, their welfare and dignity, and with a wide variety of interests I am usually able to find something to connect on some level with people from all walks of life. If you are looking for some support for yourself or a loved one, please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.

I liaise with MDTs and family members as an advocate for service users. I provide person centered care plans and ensure that policies and procedures are complied with whilst maintaining respect for multicultural values and beliefs for the service users. I check in, administer medication in compliance with Doctor's prescription. I am an Occupational health and safety graduate who also holds health economics and health promotion qualifications at master's level, which enhance the potential to successfully deliver positive outcome for service users. I have the extensive experience in working with vulnerable and learning disabilities adults who require support and successfully transformed their lives in a positive way. I have worked in hospitals, care homes, live-in, residential homes/nursing homes secure hospitals as well as supported living settings which facilitated the knowledge to deal with complex situations. I had the opportunity to work as Team Leader/Supervisor and as Deputy Manager in some care settings where I looked after residents who were diabetic and on PEG feed. I dealt with service users who have diverse needs and maintained confidence and impartiality in my support. I also worked with colleagues who come from diverse backgrounds and maintain professional conduct in my role. I also deal with service users who have different beliefs and always respect their cultural values and maintain compassion in dealing with challenges. I have excellent organization, planning and communication skills both verbal and in writing which prompts the ability to deal discreetly with sensitive and confidential information.
