I have come to realise that having the ability to relate with people not only involve ability to get along...More As an individual with extensive experience in care where I have worked as a domiciliary carer in the community 7 years and 3 years working as a care Co Ordinator for a domiciliary care agency. I have come to realise that having the ability to relate with people not only involve ability to get along with them but it is important as it makes a lot of difference in their lives and wellbeing. I adopt empathy related approach when handling expected and unexpected challenges in my responsibilities as a caregiver. I adopt a proactive approach to care with a professional attitude that is enhanced by over 10 years practical experience working as a caregiver and care coordinator. Although working as a caregiver I developed myself personally and professionally as I studied for the NVQ Level 3 in Adults Health and Social Care, BA Hons in Business Studies, MBA in Business Administration and HND in Accounting. I also had internal trainings in Moving and Handling, and Safeguarding Adults in other organisations I worked with. I am experienced in working with clients that require hoisting, this will be evaluated on the meet and greet to ascertain whether it will be 1 or 2 carer job. Until my training certificates are updated I am looking for clients that are more mobile and do not require hoisting. When doing part time live in care I am happy to discuss my daily breaks with clients family members. I enjoy cooking well balanced nutrional meals for my clients, this can be discussed on an individual basis. I am happy to have smalls pets in the clients and I can assist with caring for them if required. As I do not drive I am looking for longer days of 8/12 hours.
