L4 2TA 283650 I have gained an insight into what the Health and Social Care sector offers and involves through my experience as a support worker over the past 9 years. I have obtained knowledge on how to work with different patients with elderly with dementia, mental health problems, learning difficulties and children with challenging behaviour. Through working with vulnerable people l have discovered the enjoyment of how working as a team helps others and improves the care patients receive from the staff. l used to volunteer at Salvation Army Church Hospital in Africa with the orphanage for three years before I came to the UK. My duties were to support elderly people with their daily needs such as bathing, dressing and feeding them some needed encouragement to do it themselves, so my role included me to be there for them if they needed a guide. I have been passionate about helping people, l believe l have so much to offer and give back to the community at large as a health care professional, having gained my confidence at work l believe there is more experience to be learnt to achieve my goal. I am dedicated to delivering person-centred care with empathy, respect, and kindness and prioritising their needs. I am in the final year of my Health and Social Care degree at Liverpool John Moores University and also working on my driving lessons, hoping to get my license as soon as I pass. Finally, I would like my clients to cover my travel expenses.

L23 8SQ 6497 I am a 'people person' and I care about supporting others in need. I thrive on enabling people to stay as independent as possible, with care and support where necessary. I firmly believe that a good carer needs to have these qualities, plus have empathy, to be a good listener, be respectful and provide care and support in a dignified way. I have worked in a carehome for the elderly and those with dementia for 2 years in the past, I also have supported and cared for elderly family members and friends including my father who has vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. I have provided live in carer cover (for a week per shift) once or twice a month to a 93 year old client who has dementia. I have experience of supporting adults who have autism and learning disabilities. I also have experience of providing care and support to brain injury/stroke clients including moving and handling, assisting with transfers to keep the client safe, personal care, emotional support and to access the community, as well as domestic support. I also have experience of supporting a visually impaired client in a similar way but also support with admin tasks, telephone calls, general support. I have medication administration, moving and handling and Covid19 training and certificates. I love being able to support and care for others, but at the same time, be able to empower them where appropriate. I love reading, going for coffee and socialising, I am easy to talk to! I love the theatre or going to the cinema, enjoy going to the park or the seaside. Thanks for reading!
