I have been working in care 18 years, I have gained a lot of experience. I started out doing community care for the elderly. I decided to go into care due to my gran passing away, I missed her, so I thought I would make a difference and help someone that would like a friendly face and caring person ...More I have been working in care 18 years, I have gained a lot of experience. I started out doing community care for the elderly. I decided to go into care due to my gran passing away, I missed her, so I thought I would make a difference and help someone that would like a friendly face and caring person in there life. After the elderly I decided to work with Mental health in a secure unit dealing with service users with complex mental health conditions e.g Bipolar, Dementia, Anxiety, Personality disorder. I enjoyed the challenge and felt I made a big difference. I also gained experience with independent living supporting individuals in there own homes which were being supported from transitions from a secure units. I wanted to see the progress after. My final experience was working with learning disabilities, I started as a support worker and progressed to leading a team as a senior. I gained experience working with finance, personal care, medication, day to day activities, visiting new places, encourage and supporting in personal care. Promoting independent in daily life skills. I also have dealt with emergency situation A@E ringing out of hour services. In my spare time I have 2 children. I spend most my time on the side of a football pitch, encouraging my daughter whose dream one day is to play for England. I also like spending time with family and drawing still life pictures. I have recently taken on a private client who is young girl with epilepsy and autism, I have really started to enjoy working with her and we do many exciting things, including bowling, alongside football, making light houses out of pots, making paper mashi Christmas decorations. I enjoying cooking and I usually cook homemade meals including Cottage pie, Spaghetti, Mince Meat potatoes and veg, hearty meals. I am looking for regular work so I get to build great relationships with the people in which I will be supporting. I also have worked alongside professional bodies to help with my clients needs regarding there health. I have the correct insurance to take clients out so my clients will be safe while I am out shopping and other visits my clients my need. Thankyou for reading my bio.
