While working as a carer, I have worked with different clients coming from different background and ethnicities. I am a very loyal, caring, soft hearted, understanding, sympathetic yet determined person by nature. Alongside speaking English, I am fluent in speaking Punjabi and Hindi. I have lived in different cultures and aware of them variedly. I have worked with various people with dementia, epilepsy, old age, paralysis to name a few. I understand the process of working as a carer and adapt to the environment quickly providing necessary help and support to the needy. I am not comfortable with pets and hence prefer homes without pets. I also prefer non-smoking environment to work. I am a clean and tidy person and make sure surroundings around me are clean and comfortable to live in. I am a good listener and friendly by nature. I love my work and indulge in whole heartedly in whatever I do. Friend and relatives often describe me as a calm and composed person passionate and determined about my work ethics. I am a good cook and enjoy cooking balanced and nutritional meals. I like to experiment different dishes and follow the dietary regime of the clients provided. I also indulge in light activities for my clients to maintain their physical and mental health. I am also keen to know on any improvements and/or suggestions that would be helpful for my clients. I do not have a valid UK driver’s license however I am willing to provide them assistance with any kind of shopping, walks, etc. I prefer travelling up to 50 miles. My main preference is to do live in ideally 2 weeks/1 week off but I am comfortable to be flexible as per the need of the client. I am okay with days and nights as long as it is full day/night. However, I am flexible with my rotas. I prefer to have two hours break each day. I prefer mobile clients who does not require hosting. I also prefer females’ clients only. I also wanted to add that I have worked with children’s also as I have done fostering for couple of years. I do have experience working with both elderly and children.
