Over t...More Hi I am Loretta I have worked in the care field for over 20 years, supporting vulnerable adults/young people. I have worked in both the housing and hostel settings and supported housing sector with people who have various needs e.g. mental health, substances misuse and learning disabilities. Over the past 4 years I have been working as a private carer with the elderly where I worked with people who had Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and people with Depression, people with autism and Epilepsy I have hands on experience of supporting clients with their physio exercises and massage I am able to empty a catheter also give personal care i.e. shower/bath & pad change empty the commode and carry out a little light house work, a little shopping and also prepare or support client to make wholesome fresh enjoyable meals . Through working in this field out in the community I have learnt to use the different moving aids i.e. wheeled hoists, ceiling hoists transfer boards. I enjoy working as a carer because I like treating people how I would like to be treated and the smile on people's face when you help them and empower them to remain in their homes. I enjoy making people laugh and happy. I work Monday to Friday and on the odd occasion, may work a weekend if arranged in advance at a higher rate of £16 per hr I don’t work over the Christmas/new year bank holidays or Easter holidays but any other bank holidays I work at time and a half I work within a 5mile radius of SE24 0BH I enjoy… Playing team sports, Traveling, Playing music, keeping up to date with the news, Yoga, Computer games, Dancing, Looking after animals, Cooking for example ( like spaghetti Bolognese or a nice fresh salad or maybe Oxtail and rice with butterbeans.), Exercising, Current affairs, Films, Reading, Fashion and clothes, Going for walks, Shopping, Television, Listening to music, Family time, Watching sport, Church activities, Swimming, I enjoy indoor and outdoor actives I hope that I get to meet you soon.
