I am a very experienced and competent positive behaviour Support worker, have worked in a care home and also in a supporting accommodation for mental health, misuse of drugs and homeless people. I am reliable, gentle by nature, patient and understanding. I work according to the client’s instructions and follow the duty of care and medication plans, adhering to good practice and health and safety guidelines. Excellent record-keeping skills. I always work to support the independence level of the client. Also as a support worker I do a wide range of personal care tasks such as domestics duties, cleaning Shopping, taking client to appointment, meetings and social event and day centres. Have got excellent skill all-round care including personal care and meal preparation. I am a good listener and communicator with empathy, patient and understanding. am physically fit and have dealt with circumstances and some that have been very unpleasant but I am not deterred by this and like to do the best I can to provide support and help to the people who need it. I have had a varied role from helping patients to get up in the morning, to helping them with their day to day activities and stimulation for them including taking them out into the garden for walk ECT. I communicate well with them and others and spend a lot of time interacting with people in the work place, visitors and relatives coming to see their family/patients. I am also very organised and work well doing a number of different task at once. For the past few years I have been working as a support worker for my local health authority. During my employment I have learnt how to handle various operational situations professionally and efficiently using my own knowledge and any available resources. I possess all the necessary industry related certification, I am CRB cleared.
