I’m Jennie, 44, happily married to Stephen, who is also an experienced, self employed PA/Private Carer - we have 3 older aged children; Brittany (21), Tyler (17), & Dylan (12). We live in the leafy, rural village of Egerton, Bolton, Greater Manchester. We enjoy walking, exploring local countryside. I love animals, adore all creatures great & small. (We have 3 Persian cross/ ragdoll cats & a tortoise!) I’ve worked in various fields of Care for 25 years, including Childcare as a Nanny/Housekeeper & Registered Childminder. Most recently I cared/ still care for adults & children with severe disabilities, including Cerebral Palsy & paraplegia & autism. I have experience of caring for adults & children with disabilities and medical conditions including MS, ME, Dementia, Cancer, blindness, or who have suffered a stroke. Also, adults who have mental health conditions, children with autism and those who required compassionate care at the end of their life, whilst additionally offering my full support to their families. I offer a sensitive approach to those I care for, whilst always ensuring their needs are met in a kind and dignified manner. In 2024 I graduated from the Open University following 4 years studying Psychology, Mental Health, and Health & Social Care topics. Beforehand, I gained a diploma in Psychotherapy, A-level Health & Social Care which followed NVQ Level 2. Additionally I have advanced qualifications in Early Years & Childcare & have been certified with Key skills in Communication & application of number. I’ve always enjoyed my role as a PA/Private Carer. Meeting wonderful individuals & families, who I’ve built up a rapport, being able to care for them in their own home, whilst always promoting their independence gives me great satisfaction - whilst always ensuring each service user’s individual needs are attended to & their wellbeing remains paramount. I am looking forward to continuing to offer my care & expertise to those who require them. My hourly rates vary depending on the care & tasks required, rates are negotiable.

Excellent

I'm so pleased that we found Jennie to help me look after my dad. I'd been struggling by myself and was nervous of taking on any help. I needn’t have worried. From the initial meeting, Jennie made me feel completely at ease and showed real empathy for the situation I'm in. She has proved to be a wonderful carer and is very reliable and trustworthy. She's always punctual and arrives willing to turn her hand to whatever we need doing. She is very proactive and professional. I highly recommend her!
