I’ve been a care worker for over 10 years, caring for service users with various needs, primarily the elderly. I assist with personal care and general housekeeping duties such as preparing meals, cleaning, shopping, and laundry.
I’ve also cared for adults and children with severe disabilities and medical conditions, including encephalitis, dementia, cancer, and those who have suffered a stroke, as well as adults with mental health conditions and individuals requiring end-of-life care. I always offer my full support and compassion to their families.
I believe I have consistently provided a sensitive approach to all those I’ve cared for, ensuring their needs are met in a kind and dignified manner.
I have always enjoyed my role as a care worker, meeting many individuals and families with whom I’ve built a rapport. Being able to care for them in their own homes while promoting their independence has given me great job satisfaction, all while ensuring that each service user’s individual needs are attended to and that their safety and confidentiality remain paramount.
