I’m Jennie, 44, happily married to Stephen, who is also an experienced, self-employed PA/Private Carer. We have three older children: Brittany (21), Tyler (17), and Dylan (12). We live in the leafy, rural village of Egerton, Bolton, Greater Manchester. We enjoy walking and exploring the local countryside. I love animals and adore all creatures great and small. (We have three Persian cross/Ragdoll cats and a tortoise!) I’ve worked in various fields of care for 25 years, including childcare as a Nanny/Housekeeper and Registered Childminder. Most recently, I have cared for and still care for adults and children with severe disabilities, including cerebral palsy, paraplegia, and autism. I have experience in caring for adults and children with disabilities and medical conditions, including MS, ME, dementia, cancer, blindness, and those who have suffered a stroke. I also care for adults with mental health conditions, children with autism, and those who require compassionate care at the end of their lives, while additionally offering my full support to their families. I offer a sensitive approach to those I care for, while always ensuring their needs are met in a kind and dignified manner. In 2024, I graduated from the Open University after four years of studying psychology, mental health, and health and social care topics. Before that, I gained a diploma in psychotherapy, an A-level in health and social care, which followed an NVQ Level 2. Additionally, I have advanced qualifications in early years and childcare and have been certified with key skills in communication and application of number. I’ve always enjoyed my role as a PA/Private Carer. Meeting wonderful individuals and families, with whom I’ve built rapport, and being able to care for them in their own homes while promoting their independence gives me great satisfaction—whilst always ensuring each service user’s individual needs are attended to and their wellbeing remains paramount. I am looking forward to continuing to offer my care and expertise to those who require it. My hourly rates vary depending on the care and tasks required; rates are negotiable.

Excellent

I'm so pleased that we found Jennie to help me look after my dad. I'd been struggling by myself and was nervous of taking on any help. I needn’t have worried. From the initial meeting, Jennie made me feel completely at ease and showed real empathy for the situation I'm in. She has proved to be a wonderful carer and is very reliable and trustworthy. She's always punctual and arrives willing to turn her hand to whatever we need doing. She is very proactive and professional. I highly recommend her!
