I am a mature lady with a considerable life experience. I have brought up three children of my own. All of them are adults now. For most of my life I have worked at school and pre-school as a special needs teaching assistant. Later in my life I started working in care. I have looked after people with various health conditions at residential settings, as well as privately. For about 10 years (on and off) I cared for my terminally ill husband who passed away several years ago. My previous clients have said that I am kind, friendly and very patient. I always listen to my client's wishes and try to meet their needs in the best possible way. I can be proactive and "get things sorted" as and when needed. I endeavor to build a good working relationship with my clients and their families. Mutual respect is important to me. My interests: I like to have meaningful conversations on any subject. I like reading and watching certain television programmes about nature, history and travel. I am also interested in art and art history. Drawing is one of my hobbies. I love nature and take every opportunity to go out for long walks in the nearby woods and fields. In summer I enjoy looking after my own garden. I love travelling and would take any opportunity to explore new places and different cultures.
