Following further training, I worked as a volunteer counsellor...More Hello I am a retired psychiatric nurse with 37 years experience. I also worked as a carer with Lanarkshire Association of Mental Health for a approx 2 years following retirement and cared for our elderly parents along with my siblings . Following further training, I worked as a volunteer counsellor in a primary school in Glasgow with Place2be. All this experience has helped me to attune to the needs and wants of people in my care. I really enjoy supporting people to try something they would really like to do but don't have the confidence to do. I have varied interests which I feel encourages others to broaden their interests. These include dog walking, playing Scrabble, learning (or trying to learn) Mandarin Chinese, playing the piano and being involved in children's work in my local church. I would available 4-6 hours per week Monday to Saturday by mutual agreement. I have had both my Covid vaccinations and the booster and 'flu injection. I regularly do a home test for Covid as well. I am looking forward to being involved in caring again so would be pleased for you to contact me to discuss how I could help you.

Rachael honestly is one of a kind. Goes above and well beyond to help my poorly father but is also very considerate towards my mother, who is struggling to cope some days. Thanks for all you do. Very much appreciated.
