I have experienced in many fields; I started with housekeeping in the 90's back in the Netherlands working in private homes and also worked in hotels as a housekeeper. After, I decided to go into the health care sector and worked for companies as a health care worker in private homes and care settings. When I moved to UK I immediately got a job at a hospital working as a housekeeper, eventually went back into the caring sector at Bupa care home working on dementia unit. Other experiences include working with learning disabilities in community centres and eventually working as a live-in carer for the past 5 years Now, what makes me a great carer: I am very compassionate about my job and understand the importance of meeting clients needs. I am reliable, understand the importance of good communication, punctual and most importantly very respectful to my clients/ relatives/ colleagues. I am very empathic and patience towards my clients and would treat any client (respectful of their age, race, religion) in the manner that I would like my loved one to be treated or myself My hobbies in a nutshell include cooking, reading, going for walks and cleaning. I also love spending time with my children and grandchildren whom I visit when on break from my job. Family is very important to me. I also enjoy watching tv, being up to date with current affairs and listening to music
